Griz/Viking thread.

hey hear some news ,,Dominqez is quick and can shoot the lights out,,PSU goes all glass,,,and radio dude states" I am really impressed with the way PSU gets out on break"...being in Ptown had I known that the coaching staff had ---no idea ---who they were playing and how to approach it ..and neither did the color guy,,(probably just trying for any filler ) I would have sent everyone a paper...did the coaches happen to watch the PSU/MSU game thur? pathetic game prep...and I know that Pooh Jeter was good for UP... so your admitting he was better than Dom?,,,and better yet, I don't think he was as good as Stucki for EWU and the Griz at least attempted to stop Stucki and on occassion were affective..this was just horrible...another comment by an asst coach ...was the Griz were scared....scared at home.?!??! Give me a flippin' break....attitiudes are COACHED...baskets going in cannot be taught but attitudes,,,and effort are signs of coaching...this just sucks ..and at home,,and sr night,,and.. and,,,

PSU just treated UM (-56) and MSU (-32) like they were in prison. PSU is the warden and we were the bitches. UM had a "bad" game MSU has had a "bad" month.

PSU was not the warden. PSU was the bad ass lifer who bent the montana schools over in the shower.

So in the history of Griz basketball this has got to rank as one of the lowest. Give up 108 and get beat by 52!!!!

There have been teams score 111 (ISU) on the Griz, but I bet the 52 point loss is the worst EVER!!!

Tink has got to go. Low attendance, terribly boring team, and a team with ZERO heart...

On Senior night the two Seniors go 6-24. Martin 2-16, can you say selfish!!!!

Just got back from watching the Griz get slaughtered by a much better team. Pathetic.

but, then, when your playing as good as PSU did, good things come in great supply. that killed the Griz. PSU was so much more athletic than the Griz. Griz never had a chance. PSU basically is at a higher level then the Griz at this time.

But, with Cats losing to Northern Colorado, at least the Griz are 5th seed.

Griz get to go back to the friendly confines of Holt arena in Pocatello to play ISU. Won't the fans there be ready for us.

nobody on this board wants to hear about replacing Tinks. I think they're all related to him. I thought he sucked last year, he's terrible this year and will ruin an extremely talented squad next year if given the opportunity.

think three year contracts.

1st of all, I will admit PSU is MUCH better than the 1st game. They do everything right. The biggest advantage they have on anyone in the BSC is guard quickness and athleticism. BTW, news flash they play nasty in your face perimeter defense. That kind of defense is the kind of perimeter defense every team at all levels should preach. No team in the BSC plays that kind of defense. Speaking of defense, I agree with City this is the one game GRAVES should have been tried. No Griz guard could handle him.
Kudos to PSU, I will be surprised if anyone stays within 15 of them in the tourney. They are a very impressive team, capable of an upset or 2 if they do represent the BSC. Any other team will be blown out in the 1st round.

Now onto the GRIZ, it was PATHETIC (I will not be sugarcoating this game), and pray they learned somethings from this game. I can handle a team getting blown out. What I cannot handle or accept is getting your asses handed to you in the HUSTLE , Defense, and rebounding aspects of any game. The GRIZ did not box out whatsover and had no attitude to fight. Not only did they lack where no team should lack, but what in the hell happened to working the ball inside like we have been the past weeks? Strait, Qvale, and Beaudin were open, and seen the ball very little.

Speaking of Beaudin, if there was one bright spot, it was Beaudin, he absolutely went in there to reinforce and did so. His defense was solid and he actually played great post defense on Morrison. One defensive stand he threw him off the low block quite easily. The GRIZ got the ball on offense, Beaudin was posting him up HARD, hard enough to get Morrison fighting back. A foul was called on Morrison, and in frustration of being thrown around he drew a technical. Beaudin got under his skin like very few could. Beaudin also established great post position on the low block. Too bad nobody rewarded him for his efforts.

This was an absolutely embarrasing ass kicking with next to no fight. I have never left a GRIZ game early since Kennedy leaving. I could not stomach this butt kicking any further. We left at the 10 minute mark of the 2nd half. I did listen to rest of the game on the radio though. It sounded to me that Graves did well while in there. Someone that stayed please tell me how he looked in there. Sorry I had to go, I was very close to getting a fan technical.

I have no idea how this game will effect the GRIZ for the tourney. Win or lose in the tourney, if they do not come out with tenacity, heart, and hustle I will be very disappointed, and not looking forward to next season as much I thought I would. Yet it will take alot for me to lose faith in Tinks. After tonight though it did bring me down a few notches. I will leave it at that, I am too pissed to even attempt to put in words how pissed I am.

Oh well, it will only go down as a loss. This Griz fan will be hoping for the best. GO GRIZ!!!!!

Defense and Rebounding are all about attitude, heart and hustle. You do not have to be as talented as the other team to be competitive in these areas. We obviously did not have any of those qualities tonight. There is absolutely excuse for not at least giving the effort. I can handle getting beat by a better team, but to not show up and play with any heart on Senior night is sickening.

Sorry, robo, everyone here is related to O'Day, too.

Personally, I don't just think O'Day should be fired, he should be fired AND be given a wet noodle lashing.

Between the Hauck debacle, Tinkle getting a three contract, the botched stadium addition and piss poor scheduling I can't believe he hasn't resigned yet. I bet he thinks he does a good job, too.

But hey, it's Montana.

Is there a state with lower standards? Doubtful.

It's excruciating to watch so many idiots fail around the country, then they move back to Montana, do an equally shitty or worse job and then are praised for it.

Maybe I'll move back.

Exactly what Hauck debacle? Also, what botched stadium addition? IMHO, a 3 year contract is about right. One year contracts are a big detriment to recruiting good coaches.

Many words can be used to describe tonights "game" but I think this one sums it up very well for everyone who went...

...Painful

Embarrassing, disgusting, revolting, pathetic, unacceptable--all these terms have been used about tonight's debacle for clearly sound reasons.

To incur a defeat of this magnitude on your home floor on Senior Night is deplorable. And it really is time for all those connected to the program to look in the mirror and recognize where the responsibilty lies for this unconscionable "nadir of disgrace".

Some serious review and assessment needs to take place regarding the leadership (or lack therof) in this BB program. The professionals we have at the helm in men's basketball have been anything but this year--either that or the material we have on the team is seriously lacking between the ears and have large vacuoles in the cardiac region...

What Hauck debacle?

How about his scholarship players killing people and robbing college girls with tech-9s while pistol whipping drug dealers?

Remember that part?

Remember when he didn't even get a slap on the wrist?

Do I really need to explain the financial benefit of adding twice as many seats over adding half as many at a MUCH higher average cost?

I'm not going to anyway, so don't bother asking.

IMHO giving a 3 year contract to an unproven, no-experience head coach is freaking lunacy.

Do you think Tinkle would be asked to come back next year if he didn't have a 3 year contract?
