Griz/Viking thread.

I don't think the coaches have said anything to Graves.
Well, something must be up with someone. We have offered at least 2 thus far uncommitted players. Granted, if one commits, the other offer may go away. However, unless a scholarship is freed up, we have none to offer.

This game was awful. There is absolutely, totally no way anyone with a lick of sense can offer anything in defense of the Griz. I'm sorry, but they got their asses kicked ... period!!! There are no excuses available to justify such a beating.

When asked if anything positive could be taken from this game, Tinkle said, simply, "No"...

Imagine if the football team endured a home conference loss that was the worst defeat in 90+ years...Holy Cow, the fallout would be INCREDIBLE!!!

I was told tonight this was the worst beating in D-1 this season in the nation...

question....would we have seen this type of ass-kicking under Larry?ever?,,,the answer is NEVER...I am done..cannot support this pathetic display...I donot blame the kids,,it is attitude,,,that oh, we're alright,,we'll be okay, a break here a break there,,a foul shot made here ,,and we would have won,,,,it just doesn't cut it..and covers up the lack of intensity that prevails,,,this team has never reached its potential,,,all year and not very optimistic for next..."PSU would have beaten a top 20 team",,,no because a top 20-or top 50 team prepares, and comes out with some DESIRE! I have given up....GO Ladies...

How the hell do you know if the Griz, under Larry, wouldnt have received the same ass-kicking as they did Saturday night.? Does Larry have another year of eligibility or something? The way I see it, the only thing that wouldve/couldve saved the Griz on Saturday was if Larry, Wayne, Michael Ray, etc., couldve suited up.

An ass-kicking can come in many different ways, not just the final score. I mean, would you feel better if they lost by 1 on a last second 1/2 court shot? Doesnt really matter, its over. A loss is a loss.

I say we move fwd to ISU and forget the debacle that WAS Sat night.

Oh, and as for anwering the question of another poster about whether Tinx should be allowed back next year, &*^% YES, he should be back next year. Get a clue. Or, maybe you think we should bring Hogan and Kennedy back.. Please. Tinx is just fine, and will only get better. Having a short leash on a coach does no good for anyone. Try bringing an outsider in and you will set the program back another 3 years. Tinx, with his recruits coming in, will only get better.

And, I bet if you were to ask the players themselves, they'd say the same thing.

Is this the worst loss in Griz basketball history? If not, it's still probably the most humiliating.

"Tinkerbell" needs to go IMMEDIATELY - not next year - but now. I must agree though with others, he is tall!

Did anyone see that sorry excuse for a Montana Coach on Sunday Night Coaches show?

OH, my God!

It will be one and done after the upcoming Idaho State Loss! Hopefully, Montana can acquire a better motivator for next year. No self-respecting player should be put through any more of this season with tinker belle at the helm!

Alright, Mr. Warmth, or Griz Whiz! Its better than sugar coating it like you do. Pathetic is pathetic! You are certifiably pathetic too! This makes you a perfect match for this discussion board!

:naughty: :naughty:

PlayerRep did you see the same game I saw? We were out of it about 5 minutes into the game. We had no desire to get loose balls
almost like "hey its senior night thats ours". Every part of the game we sucked especially defense duh. Vanderjagt played like a girl scout Holy Cow you are 7 feet tall start playing like it Dom 5"6" put a shot up in his face and he couldn't even block it! That boy gets serious pine time from me

No Fanofzoo, we apparently saw a different games.

For you to diss Vanderjagt seems ridiculous to me. He played fine, He was our 3rd leading rebounder in his 6 minutes of play, with 3. Hasquet and Strait had 4 each. VJ played from 5:20 to 1:51 of the first half. UM was down 20-36 when he came in the game. The little point guard shot and made successful high runners coming down the key on several of our defenders. He floats the ball high in the air, and it consistently drops in. The Griz said he's been doing that all season.

While things weren't going UM's way, I didn't think they were out of it at 5 minutes. Scores at 16:25, 10:36 and 4:57 were: 7-10, 10-27 and 20-36. I believe UM almost overcame a 17-point first half deficit at PSU.

even as depressing as the final score was, the second half was as bad as the first. either we stuck a fork in it, or their reserves are better than ours.

UM was down 32 at the half. The game was pretty much over then, unless perhaps UM could have come out very strong early in the second half and cut the lead significantly. UM didn't do that. Each team played 12 players. The playing time of the starters and non-starters was roughly the same for each team. PSU's bench is very good. The second half was worse than the first in some respects. I blame the loss on the complainers and neggies on the message board (as their pessimissm gave PSU too much confidence or something like that). I see no reason to give them a free pass.
