temp said:What in the world was ISU doing in the last minute? That was horrible game management. Down 1 with about 55 seconds left and instead of going quick and getting a two for one, they dribble the clock out and force up a bad 3-ball??? Then when they are down three they struggle to find a shot so they take a 2 with seven seconds left on the clock :?
But hey, we will take it! Good to see the boys fight for a tough road win. :thumb:

None of our posts are consistent yet. Hutch has had some good games in the past, as has Martin, as has Kemp and as has Weisner. If we can get just ONE of our posts to be semi-consistent at least with rebounding and defense this season could turn around completely.
I have to say Kemp still looks to be the most promising out there for helping us out a lot this year. Some games he looks damn good out there especially on the glass. Others though he looks almost nervous... Keep hoping when he has a game like tonight that'll be the breakout game and we wont see the nervous Kemp anymore.

Ashamed said:Not to harp...but what are the good games you are talking about? The 6 points and 5 rebounds he had against UND??? Most of his games he has 3 or 4 fouls and contributes ZERO. Maybe I am missing something.

Then, you must be blind. Jeez, watch the game, and look at the stats. He has gotten more rebounds per minute than any player on the team. 3 or 4 fouls per game. Zero fouls in 15 against NC, 3 in 18 against PSU, 4 in 16 against EWU (and 5 rebounds and 4 points), 2 in 24 against SS (and 10 points and 7 rebounds), 2 in 8 against Western, 1 in 8 against St. M's, 2 in 14 against UW (and 6 points on 3-3 shooting and 3 rebounds), 1 in 28 against SF (and 10 points on 5-7 shooting and 4 rebounds). Didn't play much in the other games, and never had more than 2 fouls in those games. So has had 3 fouls once, and 4 fouls once. Is close to leading the team in FG percentage (51.5%) and has about 10 more rebounds than Hutch in 6 less minutes per game. Hutch has 45 fouls in 18.1 minutes per game. Kemp has 25 in 11.7 minutes per game. Martin has 31 in 8.6 minutes per game. Like I said. You are blind.

Ashamed was talking about Hutch. I'm guessing he probably agrees on Kemp getting more minutes.

He made his post right under your somewhat positive paragraph on Kemp, without mentioning any name. Glad you can read his mind. I can't. Guess, my bad.

I can't read his mind. I can however read his post which spawned the current conversation. Here it is
Ashamed said:I will ask again. What does Hutch bring to the table?
I responded to that question mentioning that Hutch has had some good games in the past, as has Martin, Kemp and Weisner, yet none of them have been very consistent yet. The second part of my post was the part about Kemp being the most promising.
So then Ashamed responded to me again asking me to elaborate a bit on Hutch's good games. While he didn't mention Hutch by name based on the previous post by him and the conversation I'm 100% sure he was talking about Hutch.

I think this probably is the best evidence of who Ashamed was talking about. If you read it from that post forward you can see Ashamed was talking about Hutch.
There's also this:

Now...if only we had some way to find out which of our post players had 6 points and 5 rebounds against UND earlier this year. Then we'd be able to solve the mystery of who Ashamed is talking about.
Someone should really document things like that... They could put all of the results of games some place fans could access.... maybe on an Entertainment and Sports Programming Network website of some kind... Naah... that's just crazy talk.
I guess we'll never know who scored 6 points and had 5 rebounds against UND...![]()
Seriously though, all sarcasm and joking aside, he's talking about Hutch not about Kemp.
I really hope we don't see what we've seen a couple times so far in this season where Kemp has a good game, then his minutes the next game are limited after he makes a mistake followed by him going back to single digit minutes for a couple games. Guess we'll find out against Weber on Saturday how this is going to go.

While I don't disagree with what you are explaining now, the guys needs to write better. Perhaps you can provide an explanation/interpretation each time he posts, so there won't be misunderstanding by others like myself. I assume even you don't think his single post was clear. By the way, I think the guy who had 2 fouls and 1 turnover in the Idaho game should be getting more playing time. Same with the guy who had 1 rebound, 1 fould and 1 turnover in the NAU game.

Hutch also had 11 points and 3 rebounds against South Dakota State and 8 points 6 rebounds against Hawaii. Last year he had some pretty good games as well. What's odd though is I think his rebounding numbers have actually declined significantly this year if you go by rebounds per minute. Trying to find my old stats from last year and the year before.
If I remember right Hutch had pretty damn good rebounding numbers per minute last year and the year before especially. This year his rebounds per minute are not nearly as good... Thought that was kind of strange.
