Tonight's inside defense was awful. SF got layup after layup. Selvig sat most of the first half and then was the only post to get any minutes in the second half. Ward and Hutchison sat in the second half, and based on their first half performances, deservedly so. Reader was in maybe all of one minute in the second half. He seemed to get in the doghouse and that was it. Derek is not a good inside defender and did not defend well tonight. Our only real effective post play came from a wing (Art Steward.) Stockton played very well in the first half, and then returned to normal in the second half. Wood got some minutes in the first half then did nothing (again) and never played again. Weisner finally hit a three, but is not an inside player and has shown no effectiveness as a rebounder. This was a bad loss to a mediocre team.

Right now, the Griz are only mediocre. The strength and depth of this team is it's guards and based on what happened tonight, Wayne has to be considering going to a three guard look and utilizing the quickness and athleticism the team does have.
