Griz to Finish 3rd in Big Sky

you know damn well if your griz had a choice to make... keeping the travel game to NDSU on the schedule, or buying it out (which is why they make the contracts the way they do)in order to have six home games versus five, you would pick the home game in a second. Any fan that has season tickets would do the same.
i thought you traded the NDSU game for SMU, no? I didn't realize you traded it for a home game but that shows how much i care about your schedule.
They did.

Both games were scheduled on Sep 7th.

They could/would have played Monmouth and had 6 home games either way.

No... I was pissed as hell when I found out we were buying it out, until Ash said it was the only way to get a 6th home game in 2013. Then I was OK with it.
You already had 6 home games. You traded a road game for a road game. Review your point.

Monmouth and Mesa St. in the same year; pretty challenging.

Thanks...NL !! I saw a ton of licks laid out on people. If you touched the football wearing blue, you were going to pay the price. Except if you were # 12...one step away and standing over the pile. That's o.k. we know who is under the microscope this year. Plain old blocking and sticking people gets the job done "EVERY" F.....G time   Under the atmosphere coming this August, how could anything else occur ?? :egriz: P.S.- thanks "KEM" for simplifying the scats "gutless" and "defenseless" excuses  on N.D.S.U. Denardo has really had his ass torn off in the playoffs... hmmmmmm. He's going to leave with a bunch of records, however when it comes to the playoffs it's a "broken" one... Last chance poser.

I think this post may have touched upon the most important point of all in this debate of coaching and players. Leadership from the team and the kids actually on the field. This year will be interesting for the Griz. Are the older players able to carry the load and get the younger kids to believe? Believe in winning and closing out close games. I think there are enough who were part of the team when they lost to SHSU in the semis. They know the history, tradition and expectations of the program. The cants have a different tradition and honestly I am not sure DM believes they can win the NC or even get close. Nothing over the past three years demonstrates they can and quite frankly the team looks lost in big playoff games. Simply lost and they appear to lack belief in themselves. I don't see kids stepping up. Can the Griz go back to be a dominating force? I think they will, possibly much faster than many on this board believe. The cants just don't get it done and I don't believe that is going to change. They have a president who gets it, but they need a culture change within the program. Mediocrity is embraced and will continue to be. The folks in Bozo believe anything after the BSC Championship is just gravy and they are like a kitten with catnip when the playoffs come around.

Kind of like scheduling Fort Lewis and Albany in the same year.
If you have to back six season for smack on our schedule, I'd say that's pretty good.

Not really. Albany is a top FCS program. More like scheduling Western Oregon and Iona in the same year.

I totally agree. The sCats have all these high hopes for McQueery (I think he is a very talented individual and I'm not attempting to take anything away from him) but I don't think he can hold a candle to Makena Simis. I really like the idea of recruiting local kids but I like winning even more. I see more talent on the Grizzlies side of the ball more than than I see on the sCats. When LBJ leaves I'm betting the sCats slide down hill fairly fast.

Here's an interesting little theory: Towards the end of the season, a top 3 in the nation team (MSU) could only win by 9 points against a worst Griz season in 30 years. I think the sCats are in some serious trouble this season at The Brawl. As usual.

Really, you are going with that theory? I seem to remember that in 1995 that the national champion only beat a 5-6 MSU team by 9 points. Must have been a very weak field in the playoffs that year

Was Jordan Johnson or Dingleberry McGhee on them 1995 teams? No, they weren't. :msugrad:

All you guys can do is talk... That's it. You want to ignore last year like it didn't happen, and pretend you're still the king of the hill.... But you're not. You've been dethroned, but most of you just won't admit it. So from the 5-6 debacle last year you've got the same coaching staff returning, and basically the same team, with the addition of one player, JJ, and we're supposed to be scared? I think JJ is a good QB, but we're not talking about Johnny Manziel here. DM and crew have taken you down two of the last three years, and come November, will be three. :thumb:

Dethroned? Uhh, 70 is bigger than 37. Therefore, the Griz have not been "dethroned". So you've won the last 2 of 3. Big deal. Do you think the Griz are just gonna roll over? Pfffft. Explain the last 112 years. There is a trend there. It'll take a very MINIMUM of 40 years of straight DOMINANCE to Dethrone. And the sCats are known for their dominance LOL
2012 did happen. But the Griz never got blown out like the cats have. Ever.

The Q.B. Effect  - russell wilson, peyton manning, colin kaepernick, johnny manziel. The performance of a team improves exponentially with the addition of a solid performer at the q.b. position. Afterall, he touches the ball on almost EVERY f.....g play. This is NOT rocket science. Improved scoring, time of posession, and confidence to name a "few". The addition of an EXPERIENCED 60% passer, 3000 yards and about 30 tds isn't a game changer ?? :stfu: The positive influence on a "tired" 2012 "D" ??...priceless. The Griz have an AWESOME group of returning linebackers and a super "D" line. However, we'll see how it plays out... You can talk the smack... ** CLOWN. :egriz: ** However you have absolutely NO clue how prukop is going to pan out.
