Right!?!? Elrod articulated this perfectly.

Love to hear that! He had quite a bit of spring with KAY before KAYs injury, and im sure they've spent a ton of time together in summer workouts. So his assessment is most certainly noted. For what it's worth, I listened to an interview with Wortham a few months ago. He sounds like a pretty amazing player and person. At the end, the guy doing the interview asked Michael to recommend another player who he thought had star potential and might agree to be interviewed. He said...... Keali'i Ah Yat. Then said, he thought Ah Yat was the most talented QB he had ever seen.
What does he know? He only sees him perform in practice every day.For what it's worth, I listened to an interview with Wortham a few months ago. He sounds like a pretty amazing player and person. Probably about the 4th game in.I agree, Elrod's perspective makes the most sense. Excellent potential and it will be interesting to see how quickly someone emerges as the starter.
Words of wisdom!Well, good news then! Since both of last year's All-American QBs now play for the Raiders, I guess things are still wide open.
No disrespect intended, but this is the circular logic I hear from a lot of the Griz fanbase. "We want a multi-year starter that becomes an All-American, but Ah Yat wasn't an All American yet as a freshman so he isn't good enough, but don't bring in a transfer because we need a long term starter." It is a lot of self immolation. We have a young QB who showed some serious flashes of potential but needs to grow, like any young FCS QB. We have Jensen, who has been coached by the best possible QB coaching team in the FBS and who has also shown he can really toss the ball. We also have a kid from Idaho who was a high school stud and has been fighting it out to show he belongs at this level, and sounds like he has really impressed a lot of people.
We may very well have a championship caliber QB, we just don't know who it is yet. The thread would be a lot more sad if nobody thought they had a guy.
Even UNC is capable of that goal.Goal of the season: win the last game
"You know what, I want to win games. Any decision we make, is to help us win that game, that week. It's about winning on Saturday." Go Griz!!Hauck talked quite a bit....or at least was asked quite a bit about the quarterbacks haha
His secret... living in Montana... keeps you young and happy! and he gets to coach the Grizzlies!"You know what, I want to win games. Any decision we make, is to help us win that game, that week. It's about winning on Saturday." Go Griz!!
BTW, does Bobby ever age? He looks like he's 40 (at least what most college head coaches look like when they are 40). I want to know his secret.
