Inland, my guess is Tinks is trying to find anyone that can make a few shots from the perimeter. They better hope they find someone with an outside stroke or it will be a struggle all season.
you are a WHINEY BAD FAN...

GrizLA, not sure how you determined I was whiney or bad?
Easy call...you have neither a sense of humor or irony....and you strike me as a bad, bad fan and should not be on the Griz board...after all, you are whining about outcome of the rest of the season.

That's what I figured, but with this line:

WOOD, Jordan g 2-8 0-4 0-1 1 1 2 4

and he hasn't really done anything all year.. At some point, you have to look else where. Who knows, maybe Wood would play his way back. It doesn't make sense to keep going back to a dry well.

GrizLA, you posted nothing that was humorous or ironic. I also stated that the Griz need to find someone with an outside stroke or they will struggle...did not know that was being a bad fan. Being a bad fan would be hinting that Griz football is now in the tank after this season. ;)

How about they got for a tripple tower with Qvale, Reader, and Selvig?

I don't think the griz have it tonight. Portland is well coached and runs their offense really well.
In spite of that, the Griz had this one...they don't seem to play with urgency. Cherry puts it all out there, but the two big guys seem tired and Reader and Wood don't seem to add a great deal...I was hoping Kamar would be ready to play on Sunday, as he will have a ton of friends at Pauley. Cherry can't do everything all the time....Portland is good and in a good league, but I think the Griz are better than they showed tonight...40% from the line....tough to win..

You are a fan of Egriz..I am a fan of UM...

At this point, I'd say Selvig presents a better perimeter game than Wood does. I'd like to see: Cherry, Autry, Steward/Jamaar, Selvig, Qvale. They could rotate Wood in, and if he finds his shot later - that's great. Stockton can rotate in at the point. Reader seems to be a good third big off the bench.

I am out of here for awhile. I am too pissed to post a summary now. I think I will have to wait to post a game report until tomorrow. In the meantime say 1000 times "The GRIZ are inexperienced."

Time to go clear my head.

You might be right on...they are going to have to dig deep on Sunday at Pauley Pavillion....Portland is an ok team but UCLA is a fast, aggressive, and half court team with a loud and boisterous student body and crowd about 12K.....The Griz have their work cut out, still, they can win if they play their game and make a higher percentage of their shots than tonight...Will be fun to be there with other "whiney, bad fans"....

GrizLA, you know nothing about me. I am a bigger fan of Montana than almost anyone, but I am also a reasonable person that can see and admit both the good and the bad. All I ever see you do is question everything Griz. You continually complain about who is playing and who is not. You complain about how a player is being used or not being used. You sir are the are the pot calling the kettle black and like posting on egriz probably more than anyone but Alpha.

I will sum it up...the Griz need to shoot the ball better from the foul line and the perimeter. The Griz are playing hard and Cherry can do some special things. Qvale is going to struggle until teams have to honor the perimeter. Griz play good defense for about 30-35 seconds and then they seem to bail the other team out quite often with either a foul or they give up a layin.

Ugly game Griz!! Portland is good, but that wasn't a good game!!! Its sad, but every team can play a zone!! If we cant shoot from the outside we will be in trouble!!!!!!!!!!!

Careful Keena, GrizLA sees this type of comment as being a bad fan.

40% from the FT line will allow a lot of people to beat us.
Depends upon how many time you get there. But 20% from 3pt land is not going to help....The defense of the Griz is very good and rebounding is the best I have seen from the Griz in a long while...maybe the shots are rushed or maybe the confidence is just not there....We will see if there is a fire in this team on Sunday....
