GRIZ/NAU

mtgrizrule -

Read my earlier post. An insight from a former student here on fan support, or lack thereof, at NAU.

The live stats link on NAU's men's bball website isn't working tonight. That's a first.

Pleased to see NAU's making a game of this.

Low scoring 1st half GRIZ 29- NAU 24, not so much the defenses dominating, but more of both teams missing relatively routine shots and FT's. Both teams look a little tired. Lucky for the GRIZ NAU only has 8 players suited up. The score is ugly, but the play is not that bad. Not alot of unforced turnovers.

Look for the GRIZ to improve ball movement and inside looks coming out of the half.

Okay I have seen enough and I almost had a heart attack. We are up 17 and AJ went down hard. After the FT's, "Tink's, rest AJ!" He is the one player we cannot lose due to injury.

Great broadcast - been watching most of it while cooking dinner for the wifey.

A very good game, solid takeover by the Griz in the last 10 minutes. AJ rocked it, Hasquet played really well too. Great perimiter shooting and the announcers continually were commenting that the offense was run really well with good spacing and great execution.

Ouch.

Well played, Griz.

As cliche as it sounds, the difference I see in this Griz team vs. Griz teams of the past few years is "intestinal fortitude". They're playing smarter and are playing fantastic defense.

If anyone slows down Anthony Johnson then the Griz are in trouble but that hasn't happened much so keep riding that horse.
