Good thing the Grizzlies never get the benefit of the doubt from BSC officials...

I missed the arrow emanating from the guy's crotch to the other guy dancing the hokey-pokey in the circle. A picture might be worth a thousand words, but I just don't get it.

Is that Weisner in the corner

yep. Who is the young man in the blue shirt on the floor who came off the Griz bench? He should show up in the boxscore after after his participation on that play.

that would be Edmonds

All I know is time went to zero. Jacks inbound at 0.4. They take the inbound pass, bounce it and the refs stop play right as the buzzer sounds. Then, NAU (out of time outs) gets about 4 minutes to draw up a final heave , plus they get the whole 0.4 seconds back.

Derek Buerkle put this one up on twitter, shot from under the Griz basket.

I heard our bench handed the ref a deflated ball too.

The guy's way out on the court. Assume that merits a technical. I wonder if any ref say the guy. The Black ref appears to be looking at the inbound pass from the baseline. Are any other refs in the still shot? They may have turned to run down the court.
No technical, as the fan didn't directly interfere or impact the play (stated by Bob Messerole(sp?)) to Mick on the radio feed. Also, UM player left bench after the clock hit zero.

Clock is supposed to stop after the score. Officials stopped play to check time.

As the two coaches approached Murphy was shouting and jabbing his finger in DeCuire's face. Then assistants began reaching for both men, not sure exactly who was pulled back first, but at that time Murphy threw a punch, not sure if it made contact, but that's what I saw from a few rows up on the west side, pretty much straight up from the two coaches.
There were some very old EWU fans with their phones out trying to record it from the lower east section. Couldn't have got much.

The picture obviously shows that the player was on the court and the clock was not at zero.

Yep it was Edmonds.
Travis let him have at after he dove back to the bench.

He sure did. Thought DeCuire was going to blow a blood vessel after that.

That type of thing happens a LOT in NCAA basketball games, especially around tournament time like this on a last second (or almost last second) shot. I watch a ton of college basketball and I can't think of a single time off the top of my head where something like that has been called a technical foul. Often the refs blow the whistle getting everyone back or at worst give a warning (if that). In this case they blew everything dead and made sure that they have the right amount of time on the clock.

That gave NAU an extra timeout basically to draw up a last second play. Obviously the refs needed to do that though since you want to make sure the exact right amount of time is on the clock for that last attempt.

My bad - I wasn't paying close enough attention, and was just repeating what I heard from the radio feed.

The still photo shows .4 seconds on the clock, and the guy in the blue shirt almost at the free throw line, with the ball about to be inbounded. I don't know the rule on a technical in that situation, but it seems odd that it would be okay for a player not in uniform to be that far out on the court. Is a player not in uniform who is sitting on the bench a "fan"? Agreed that he didn't interfere with the play.

Right or wrong that's exactly right, I've seen that play out quite a few times in college games, can't remember it being T'd up either.
