GRIZ/LBSU

Eh, what could have been. You can all say how much more athletic they are but MT isn't this bad. If the bigs stay out of trouble this game is likely very different. Playing catch-up all game is always going to be hard on the road. Can't take anything away from LBS, they are good, though, I just don't think they are that much better than the Griz.

I think the lack of a perimeter game and poor guard play is Montana's bigger concern going forward.

Jamar and Qvale are the only GRIZ playing decent. On the bright side, Selvig is now due for a huge game. He and Cherry very ineffective this game. At least Cherry has a reason to not play his game.

What an embarrassment.

I think you sit Cherry the next game, depending on how UNC does. That ankle absolutely must be 100% for us to have any chance at all in the tournament.

I think the host wins the tourney, so you can not sit Cherry.

I believe this game has locked the Big Sky into no better than a 15 seed, and probably a 16.

Thought that myself...

The way to beat the Griz is simple: double down on Qvale and let our other guys shoot. If they are on, we have a chance...if they aren't, we look like this (and the same we did at NAU and Weber).

They better get used to it, its going to continue the rest of the way out...

I have been saying all season that teams should do this against the Griz

The LBS players are laughing and they should be, Montana doesn't even belong on the court with them. They are flat outplaying the Griz, driving hard and dishing while Montana seems to stand around. Selvig is a 5 11 player in a 7 foot body, complete waste on the court tonight. Montana has the size advantage and can't do anything even with 2 seven foot guys on the floor. Zero outside shooting ..... this is an embarassing performance...

quickness and atleticism are taking the size out of the game

The sad thing is, regarding basketball, I want the Griz to win every year but when it comes down to it I hope the best team from the Big Sky goes to the dance so the conference has the best chance to pull the upset....whether its the Griz or not. That might sound bad but it's the truth and from what I have seen tonight Montana has some work to do as LBS is no where near a calibur of opponent the Big Sky Champ will see in the dance.

OK, explain to me how Selvig can have only 3 shots taken and 2 rebounds? 7' tall and thats it???

Maybe he can get closer to the low post from time-to-time???

I think Long Beach is better than you give them credit. They have played one of the most difficult schedules in college basketball, and even though they lost most of them, they played fairly well in all of them.
