Until Krysco and company finish their recruiting I do not know how you can answer the
question that is the topic title. So far the coaches have only signed highschool players,
granted very talented which are long term development. The focus now appears to be JC
recruits which the quality of which will directly effect the success of next years team.
I will say this. One of the strength of last years team was its depth. You could bring
player after player off the bench. At the Cat/Griz game last year I even thought McCay
made some valuable contributions. Right now with the defection of Easley, Farr,
Lynch, and McKay I really think your depth has taken a serious hit. You can argue
about this player or that player was dead weight etc. but when you look at all 4 players it
is a serious amount of minutes that are gone. This especially true at the inside positions,
you look at best really thin. The JC's that Kysco signs could effect the position that the
Griz finish in Conference, by 4 spots easily.
Now some body answer me one thing. From what I read hear and read on the net you are
still recruiting these positions Big men JC, small forward JC and a Point Guard JC.
With Easley, and Farr gone and McKay and Lynch gone (but unannounced) you should
have two scholarships left. Are the Griz looking to sign the two best of the three
categories or one of each?
