Good news guys, we got back more in line with our usual run-time haha. We recorded a day early, which gave me the time to get this up and in earlier than usual.

We spend about an hour talking about all of our takeaways from the PSU game, then we do a quick recap of the Big Sky, and move on to discussing the Idaho game this weekend. The last 45-ish minutes we field a slew of questions from both egriz and twitter.

As always you guys can find us on the Montana Mint page, but you can also find this under Montana Mint in itunes through their podcasts and on spotify - make sure to look for Montana Mint, and then you'll see the GFP there.

So the comment “I did my homework THAT season”, explains a lot. Dis the D-line effort against EWU by suggesting they don’t have good O-linemen there. Wait, what? The team who was the National Title runner up last season. Leading all the FCS in offense this season so far. Geez man, do better.

Since Cam needs a nickname, I’m thinking Luke finally needs a nickname - #chump.

One last request, even in garbage time, please - no more Royce Engstrom mentions. Still too soon, thanks.

Safe travels and tell Mike to leave the costume home this time. People have video machines in their phones. :thumb:

The O/U on Royce comments is at 1.5 on the season so we're still trending under.

Great work, fellas! Loved the streaming discussion. Because the Pluto TV thread is shot, I'll ask this here:

I assume UM travels a videographer for game tape purposes rather than trusting the home team's videographer. If so, could UM just stream that video on mute from GoGriz.com? It would take very minimal additional production costs. Hell, they could post 3 one-hour Instagram live stories for God's sake. Not ideal, but maybe a quick fix if nothing is done before next season?

Haha, that'd be something, just put it on periscope or FB live.

Seriously. Like you guys said, what's the BSC gonna do about it? UM wouldn't be pirating anyone else's stream or commentary, and it's not a rebroadcast of anything. UM's footage is UM's property. And even if the BSC says, "Don't do that!" UM (and MSU) could reply, "What are you gonna do? Kick us out of the conference? No? That's what we thought."

Had to split the post because this is a separate thought:
Which brings up another point regarding how little bargaining power the BSC has with the Montana schools. UM and MSU could just say, "Hey, commish, do what we want, or we will leave and make our own conference. We'll call it the Bigger Sky Conference. Guess what? Now, EWU, Weber, PSU, NAU, SAC, and the Idaho schools don't want to be in your conference with the scrubs you have, and without our revenue. We can run the whole thing on a G Suite on a laptop with like 5 employees. Good luck."

It's an exaggeration, but think about it like this: Imagine there is a prominent Missoula realtor named Schmint Schmahlberg. Schmint has a big book of biz, and so does another guy in his office. Six other realtors in their office do pretty well, too. Then, there are some scrubs who do two transactions per year. Let's say a company called Schmindermere runs the back office and takes a cut to cover the overhead. AND this is Schmindermere's ONLY office. Schmint and the other big producer wake up one day and say, "Hey, why are we paying a cut of our nut for the scrubs' office support? We all drink the same coffee, but we pay for way more of it." They tell Schmindermere to pound schmand, and leave. They talk to the other six realtors who did pretty well at Schmindermere. The Other Six say it sucks at Schmindermere now because there is not as much coffee due to the decline in commissions. The Other Six join Schmint and the other dude, and Schmoldwell Banker is born.

I'm pretty sure Schmint and the other guy could get Schmindermere to do whatever they wanted.

Question: Is the supplied coffee schmarbucks or schmanka?

Serious question.

But you realize starting a new conference they will forfeit any earned shares and then probably have a probationary period before the new conference could have and AQ, so missing out on quite a bit of $$$ before they could be in position to earn.

That's the only key. Get them all on board and negotiate the bid with Emmert & Co. The overarching point is that UM (and MSU to a lesser extent) could leverage its position in the BSC more than it appears it is doing at present. That's all.

It was schmarbucks before Schmint, the other guy, and the Other Six left. Now, it's schmanka on Fridays and schmolgers the rest of the time.

Thanks for answering my question this week. Also, I appreciate the positive feedback by saying my question “was a lot better than some of the others”. I’ll be sure to ask a question of a lesser quality this week. I love listening to the podcast and keep up the good work. Go Griz.
