I have mentioned this before.

Evans gave presentation two years ago at a CSI coaches clinic, and I got to listen to him talk defense. He has a great knowledge of defense. I talked with a few college coaches at the clinic, at had he not been at Southern Utah, he might have had other better opportunities to coach. Evans is the real deal.

Moreover, all the UofM needed is to find an offensive identity for them to be competitive. With the appearance of AJ, that is all we needed. Cause when teams shoot less than 40 percent a game, you have a really good chance to win games.

Their athletic program simply isn't competitive....they will do much better in The Frontier Conference.

Even cat fans are finally admitting what we've known for years:

it's official. MSU has now achieved Cell Bitch status against the jizz. SHAMEFUL!! :( Mr. Fields et.al. have some splainin to do.

What does colsteveaustin think now of Tinkle?

or wimpything or robomomo?
Won't ever know until Tinkle happens to lose in either the BSC tourney or NCAA tourney. I don't think we will lose another game until the NCAA tourney. Bold comment, but this team has the momentum going into the last five games of the season. UNC scares me down there though. We need to keep the fire going in the belly.

Nice game call Mick and Greg! I had to watch a movie with my wife and her parents so it was a must to listen on the internet.

Loved the way the Griz kept hanging in there and then took it over at the end of the game. .

Go Griz!!! And, great job, coaches. :D

Don't look now but there could be two tournaments in Missoula. I know they're still two games behinds the Wildcats. But they have to journey into Montana for two games and so far the Cats are the only team to win in Ogden or any place else against the Wildcats. Go Blue and Gold. And as was mentioned in the postgame show the Griz only are getting better. I believe the men unlike the women still use head to head to break ties. If Griz run the table and Cats help out. But then the Weber would have the tiebreaker against Portland State if the they win at home. But if Portland won we would have the tiebreaker by sweeping the Cats as long as they also continue winning. Oh well they're a lot games left and so lets enjoy them one game at a time. Good job tonight winning shorthanded in such an adverse environment.

Wow, sorry most of you couldn't see that game, you really missed watching some great ball. For anyone who has a chance to see AJ play this year and hasn't yet, go. He is worth twice the price of admission. Holy crap, at the 4:30 minute mark to the 4:00 minute mark left to play he was just insane with the plays he made. He has such a quick release and great touch, I wish he could give Qvale a bit of his touch. No, I'm not down on Qvale, he's coming along well, actually, but he has some great post moves but is rough on the finish. The boys came out and actually played well from the get go, the defense was there, I just wish they would get on the boards a little better. The second half dragged, it seemed like every trip down for the cats the Griz fouled, and really, they probably were fouls, but it got old. I didn't think it would be like that as the refs seemed to be letting them play early but then clamped down in the second half. Stauds' fouls were ticky tak, but it was his fault. Jordan's foul trouble was just him being a bit overly aggressive. Give the cats credit, they came out the second half and created the fouls, they were taking it to the hole aggressively but they Griz D wasn't giving them any easy buckets. Fortunately, none of the cats could throw a ball into a lake tonight at the foul line. They flat out sucked at their free throws. They make half of their misses and we were in trouble.

All said and done, they really played well as a team. AJ has got to at least be newcomer of the year if not the league MVP. The cats were double teaming him the whole night and he still made them pay. Some of his plays had both my dad and I dumbfounded. To say we got a steal when we brought him in would be an understatement.

Kudos to the cat fans, too, we were treated respectably and our car was not damaged, so that was a plus. Then again, I've never had any trouble with the crowds when I've been to the games in Bozo.

Another thing. Kudos to the Griz student contingent coming down. You all were very vocal although I thought holding up the "Bobcats lose everything," or whatever it said, at the beginning of the game was a bit much. I'm just glad it panned out that way.

That place was about as quiet as I've ever heard it! Griz took the fans out early and they never really got into it. Good d by the Griz tonight, they blocked a ton of shots and generally disrupted the Cats. At one point, however, the foul difference was 10-3. If the Cats could shoot FTs worth a damn, they might have won...Kind of like the Griz a couple of years ago.

Great win, great Griz contingent there as well! :D

Anyone know if there is a place to catch any of the highlights of this game? I would love to see some of those plays again.

Nevermind, they have the whole game up on http://www.grizcentral.com/
