Griz/cat Week

Justy thought I'd look in and see that once again, it appears that UM is not going to shoot much until there is just 9 seconds on the shot clock left. Put that together with turnovers and DeCuire more excited than any coach should be, and it makes this the worst Griz bball team in a long time.
 
Team has no real identity???
-Average defense at best
-Only one real shooter, even he is inconsistent. Bad team shooting talent overall
-Several guys who can’t score if their lives depended on it
-Leading shot blocker is a 6’2 180 lb guard
-No big time low post bruiser
-No paint protection
-No game closer
-No depth thanks to several wasted scholarships
-No above the rim talent

What do we actually do well? Anything? At all?
 
Why in the hell does Whitney refuse to shoot form outside? Hi looks like he has zero interest and zero confidence to take the shot. What good is a point guard who is going to just dribble it down in paint, not shoot, kick it each time, or get stuck completely. The kid has so many skills but needs to get way more confidence.

He can’t shoot. Shot is flat and slow. Should’ve been something the staff developed but they don’t do that

This staff needs some major changes.

Hmmm... Admittedly no treys, but he's currently 6 of 8 on field goals. Think what he'd be doing if he could actually shoot. :eek:
