no. The toughest thing in Butte is having to say no to a porkchop sandwich or a warm pasty and having to settle for a slab of beef!SaskGriz said:Toughest thing in Butte is the drinking water. I probably know the same "dudes" you do, and they (we) would (will) knock your teeth out if you called Butte out to our face!

6. Take nothing for granted
7. If you're from Butte learn to drink
8. Everybody hates Butte until they need your help or have an opportunity to have a drink with you (see #7)
9. Butte people are loyal
10. Tough is a way of life if you live in Butte
11. The Bobcats suck!!
LOL.... back in the 70's, early 80's, Butte was a Bobcat town. Lots of Butte boys were on the team... Late 80's early 90's it turned about neutral then late 90's for the next 15 years it turned into a griz town... I see it moving back to the 'Cats.... I guess Butte is a sucker for a winner!!

Man would it have been nice to be gift wrapped an easy ass path to the semis like the boobies were. Fat lot of good the higher seed did the Griz getting sent to the first or second best team while the boobies got sent to the most overrated #1 seed ever. SHSU was overrated and played no one all year, and sure would have been a nice draw.
The spring season was a joke, and having seen JMU and SHSU both live, there's no contest.Butte5518 said:hm.grwn.grizfan said:Man would it have been nice to be gift wrapped an easy ass path to the semis like the boobies were. You loathsome losers have an excuse for absolutely everything... How having the №1 ranked , undefeated ,reigning national champs in the bracket is somehow a gift is beyond me... and quite frankly too stupid to say even for you guys...

SHSU would've been 4th or 5th in the Big Sky this season.
I think all 3 would win it or be 2nd at worst. The spring season was so messed up in terms of timing/players available/players being in shape that the results were all over the place, and it's obvious they didn't translate to the fall season. People keep throwing the spring games out, but I honestly think the teams playing in the spring across the board are nothing like the teams playing right now.CatsRback said:uofmman1122 said:The spring season was a joke, and having seen JMU and SHSU both live, there's no contest.

Just for the sake of curiosity, if in the spring they beat NDSU, JMU, and SDSU. Where would you put those 3 in the BSC since they also played in the spring and all 3 teams are the same teams +\- a couple players? I’m not disagreeing the spring wasn’t the same, but I’m curious your logic for 4th or 5th?

I don't think SHSU was a bad team, but EWU, a healthy UM, Sac State and obviously MSU all probably beat them this year (and maybe even Weber, too). They didn't impress me at all last night, save for their one super fast guy.
You don't have to agree with me, that's fine, but I've seen enough FCS football this season to know when I'm definitely not looking at the best team in FCS. As for the spring, being in Texas, NDSU not being able to play their preferred QB, and SDSU losing their starting QB on the first series of the championship game certainly helped them out. Some schools could deal with the spring season better than others, and kudos for SHSU for doing so, but I just don't put any stock in that season when neither Montana school played, and the scheduling was a shit show.CatsRback said:uofmman1122 said:I think all 3 would win it or be 2nd at worst. I can appreciate the timing and weirdness, but SHSU also had to deal with that and still won out. Is there a stat you’re using to justify SHSU being worse outside the MSU game?

And you can go back and check, I've been pretty consistent for a few weeks that SHSU was overrated, played a very weak schedule, and struggled with mediocre teams all year.
You can tell me I'm full of shit if you beat SDSU this weekend, but if I'm re-seeding the tournament, I'm giving SHSU the 7 or 8 seed, and I thought at the time they should've gotten the 3 or 4 seed at best.
Fair, I personally think 4 of the top 5 teams were on our side of the bracket, and every seed on your side was overrated except for you guys (#4 and #1, especially), but at the end of the day, that's how it rolls.CatsRback said:uofmman1122 said:You don't have to agree with me, that's fine, but I've seen enough FCS football this season to know when I'm definitely not looking at the best team in FCS. Yeah if that’s your logic I don’t care enough to call you names. I guess for me I’m curious about the whole “stacked bracket” theory… IMO as much as SHSU was “over-seeded” SDSU was vastly under- seeded or “underrated”. Truthfully, I think the best 4 teams are remaining, that’s why you can toss the rankings out the window anyways, doesn’t matter if you had JMU in the quarters where every other team also played a ranked team outside NOVA. Only one team ends a winner. We will see Saturday. I’m curious, I’m confident, but we shall see.
Happy it’s a home game.

You'll have your hands full with SDSU, for sure. Despite some of your shitty fans slithering out from under the rocks they've been hiding under for the past few weeks over here, I still hope you guys win. :thumb:
