Griz BB on Roots TV tonight vs OSU

just gotta find some O...and get the damn refs to call it even..need some OFFENSE! They'll come back ..need Jammar!

Selvig wide(ish) open underneath tries some passing thing instad of shooting... turnover.

OSU answers with a 3.

Thanks to some computer problems, just got online here. Officiating has been very one sided. The T on Steward was a real bad call too. OSU is playing better though, and officials have helped make this no contest.

OSU is playing very well, and the GRIZ, not so much.

56-33. Ouch.

My dad has this on his DVR... didn't know we were behind the live game until the last commercial break... ugh.

Perimeter D is not having any luck.

The Griz are hard to even watch tonight. Hate to be critical of them, but they look gradeschool because of sloppy play: bad passes, poor rotation through the middle, big men failing to block out, lousy rebounding, AWFUL shooting accuracy, it goes on and on... OSU really isn't even playing very well overall...we are just playing so poorly it makes the opponent look better. As bad as the refs are tonight, I have to say that's not why we are losing! This could be a long season. Bummer.

watching this is lacerating. jamarr misses two free throws, selvig the front end of a one and one. four potential points down the drain. with other teams, you hope they might miss one. when we shoot, you pray we might make one. we've clearly upped the athletic quotient through tinks's recruiting, but we don't have a guy on this team who could reliably shoot a basketball into a dumpster from three feet.

and how much more evidence do we need that stockton is not a d-1 player at any position except quarterback or safety, while wood is the stuff of benches.

i'm baffled too my tinkle's substitution patterns. against u.s.f., their announcers were praising billy reader much of the first half. second half, he plays maybe one minute. against a super-quick oregon state team, his first guard subs are stockton and wood, not deshields or gregory. the refereeing is what you would expect of a pac12 school, and while i never imagined you could change a normal foul on replay, that was clearly an offensive foul on stockton. a frustration foul. the beavers were in his grill, and there was nothing he could do about it.

a year ago, against u.s.f., with us trailing by about eight points late, tinks went to full-court pressure. even against a super-quick athletic team like u.s.f., it worked. we pushed the game into overtime. what's the point of having athletic players--cherry, jamarr, deshields, steward, gregoy--if you don't unleash that athleticism on your opponents every now and then. maybe our defense could create some offense. our shooters surely can't.
