Griz at Northern Iowa predictions

I admit I didn't think we could go in there and win. I take back everything I said. Damn that was outstanding D against the #3 team, short manned, with a bunch of players in their 2nd college game, against one of the top O-lines in the country. The offense is frustrating as hell but will get better. This D is for real. Farley can suck it.

Who says UNI has one of the top o-lines in the country? Just curious.

The polls. Some of them. All of them?

Do we have a winner this week? Anyone guess the final score would be 20-14?

Reinell predicted 24-18 Griz; think that was closest to what the final actually was...

I think the defense will do well, but won't be able to overcome the offense's difficulties and hold them the entire game. We probably give up two scores on turnovers resulting in short fields.

I'll say 31-13 UNI.

This team's just not quite there yet.

That was an UGLY performance from a young and inexperienced ISU squad that UNI beat (OL had a combined 6 starts among all of them) . ISU continually shot themselves in the foot with 4 turnovers and numerous costly penalties that killed them, not to mention the easily avoidable safety it gave up. ISU offense couldn't get out of it's own way, it was painful to watch, very poor player execution. ISU first year head coach has his work cut out for him...

UNI will be flying high emotionally at home this weekend. But the Griz are talented enough to beat them. They just need to play with swagger in all three facets, and stop the big, athletic QB (former transfer from Illinois) from running.

GRIZ GET SOME AND WIN 8-) :egriz:

It's good to be Intuitive! You know your sh!t! :thumb:

Congratulations to the others that KNEW the Griz would win. :egriz:

Super happy I'm eating crow here.

I still think we're not quite there, but defensively we're so much further along than I had ever hoped.

We gave up 14 points to a team that played on a 50-yard field the entire game. That's incredible.
