I'm gonna make some money this weekend!!
Then they're the same team that lost to USD (yes, the 3-5, 5-6 USD team that finished 7th in the MVFC) WITH their starting QB, that had to come from behind to beat UNI in the last minute of the game, that beat lowly SIU by just 6 points, and that was down 24-10 to YSU before coming back to win (AGAIN with :35 left in the game). So did they get lucky three times?grizatwork said:I don't put much stock in bulletin board material. You have been playing competitive sports for most of your life and you are now in the playoffs. Get your head on straight and play your game.
I am not surprised at this. 4 time defending champ. We are playing on the road, and our teams have taken very divergent paths to get where we are. We are playing better lately, but we still are the same team who lost to Weber and Poly at home (Poly was with Gus) and got lucky against ISU. They have continued to win and did so without their QB 1.
If you are a betting man, and feel strongly about it, take the Griz and the points. I am a betting man, but never bet when it involves my favorite team. Emotions cloud the judgement.
If we have a half like the second half of SDSU, I would definitley give the 17 and take the home. Betting a road dog is a tough way to make a living.

Just like we could have ended the season 5-6, NDSU could have easily been 6-5. Their Q2 beat the #'s 10, 9, 8, 6 & 5 teams in their conference--he's proven nothing yet, and has never played a playoff game. We went 4-2 with our 2nd/3rd string QB's playing and we've got our first stringer back.
I like our chances straight up. 17 point dog? Bet the house.![]()

Az, I get it. This is why I don't bet on my favorite teams. I either get overly optimistic or overly pessimistic. I can't be reasonable about it. It is probably why I have a glass of scotch ale in my hand most of the game as well.

And I'm with you all the way on the other point. Bet a beer on the outcome? No problem. But no serious betting when you have an emotional attachment to either team, or to a particular player for an individual sport.

The Bison only were able to put 7 points on the board in the second half and the Griz held the running game pretty much in check. If it wasn't for Wentz getting quite a few yards, we did a good job of managing against the NDSU run game. I understand that their freshman QB is maybe even a better runner, but not quite as accurate of a passer. My guess is that we load up the box again and ask the secondary to hold their own.
Go Griz!

good points.......wish we had KVA to spy on their QB this would even out those odds and force them to pass more often.

We will have Gamboa for this game. He missed the 1st one. He or Kose will spy....
