Gresch goes off

Fullerton College can't be mentioned without bringing up Hal Sherbeck, still revered as the greatest coach in the school's history back when it was Fullerton JC. Hal from Big Sandy lettered in three sports at UM. He passed away in 2014 at the age of 85. He was my high school coach in Missoula during my oh so brief and totally forgettable football career.

Mine ended after being knocked unconscious on the field while playing Kalispell. Freshman year, we were up 36-0, so I finally got to play. :lol: Sweep around my end (I was a 120 lb third string DE--on the freshman team) and their starting TE clocked me under the chin and knocked me colder than a clam. Don't remember a whole lot after that...woke up to an all-out brawl going on at midfield...never did thank Tom Oie for sticking up for me...

well if that counts, so have i. had a pass play called to me that resulted in a touchdown. i was covered (well, on the ground) so the second route runner received the pass and took it to the house. score!

Well, as you can tell by my post, I was ON a team (through my freshman year of HS), but I rarely actually PLAYED the game...a 120 pound third string defensive end doesn’t see the field a ton.

Well, as you can tell by my post, I was ON a team (through my freshman year of HS), but I rarely actually PLAYED the game...a 120 pound third string defensive end doesn’t see the field a ton.

Well...then I count as an All-Star on here...I caught the only pass thrown to me the one year I played (also freshman year). Ran the old "95" route (5 yard hook). Caught the pass and was tackled immediately. That was the second to last game of the year, against Helena High I believe...I couldn't play in about half our away games, because I kept forgetting my mouth guard...But on that play you would have thought we just won the super bowl!!! We were down about 50-0....5' tall and 90 pounds of puberty and unathleticism...

I disagree that Gresch “choosing” leave was a mistake. It’s been talked about to death, but he wasn’t on board with what Bobby is doing so he left, period. Best for the team and himself. Rest of your post I agree with cause while Fullerton may be the best in “Cali”, they do not play the top JC’s in the nation.
