Funny how every kid in the Shrine game is ready to go but this super 4 star guy dogs it through practice and it's because he wasn't ready...pretty impressive.

He hasn't played in over a year. Big difference. Yes, out of shape. I am sure they will bring him along and have him ready for the start of the season. The coaches say he has a lot of talent and fundamentally excellent skills. That drill you see him on video is late in the practice session after them doing a long sprint drill. You can tell the difference between the players that were working out all summer on campus and the newcomers including the MT boys that played in the Shrine game. All the newcomers were gassed too at the end of the sprint drill as it was demanding.

You have got to be fu*&ing kidding me. I've read some stupid shit on this board, but your post might be right on top. If he's a 4-star caliber kid...and former PAC 12 player, then he knows what it takes to be an athlete.

He won't last, he didn't show up prepared....despite the fact that he knew what was required.

We will see!
That's for the coaches to determine. You really don't know what the real situation is.

I did find this video though. If #7 can make the team, I can make the team!

Flatline!

The kid hasn't played in over a year and was not here for the summer. When he gets in shape he is a talent 4 star recruit that started at CB for UW as a freshman. The late Snoop Doggs son.
Me either! And although many LOLs could be had about the lat 'Snoop Dog's' son, I guess you mean Nate Dogg since Snoop is alive.

By the way, he wasn't the only one dogging it. Also, I'm guessing Nate Dogg's son does follow rap. If you want to be in touch with your team, maybe you should too.

Best part is that #7 is Hale, the CB who got the boot from Washington and landed on the Cats because of a connection to Choate. The fans are gushing over him. He REALLY looked like he wanted to be there. I don't care if he's out of shape, you can still give an effort which did not happen there at all.

I just saw a tweet from Parker Ganriel where Choate and coaches have been too hard on him and will dial it back. Ha! That favoritism should go over well with his teammates.

So following rap keeps you better in touch with a team? Dude, how does that work? Should I smoke pot too?

I'm sure he will really come up big for the cats in the brawl in the 4th when Stitt has ran about 80 plays on him already. The changing of the guard has begun fellas.

Probably not...

IMHO - As a D Coordinator, you can improve the D in two ways. One, you can create a scheme that overwhelms the opposing offense and forces them to play a hesitant, reactive brand of offense (TCU and Michigan State come to mind over the past 5 years). Two, you can motivate and inspire your players to play up to and beyond their true talent levels. Make the game fun, inspire worth ethic, create buy-in. The best D-Coordinators can do both and are rewarded with HC jobs and huge contracts - Patterson, Narduzzi, Kirby Smart.

When evaluating TG on those two ideas, he is -meh- on #1 and succeeds on #2. I was disappointed to see TG use a lot of the embarrasingly simplistic concepts that Poulsen refused to stray from. I was hoping he was going to unleash a dynamic defense that matched his personalty, but it never came to fruition. Stick to what you know? Probably. But seeing the Griz still use Smash, Smoke, and Hurricane blitzes on the majority of third downs is tough to swallow.

TG will do well at State. The players will love him and play harder. But I hope he saves the creative and fun defensive schemes for his future return to the Griz.

Furthermore, I guess Nate Dogg's son could not give a fvck about bigsky33. But, why is he there if not to further himself? That is what is sad and not inline with his dad.

Read Colter's article on him in Skylinemt. Com. I think his dad would be proud of him. You guys write this trash about him without knowing sh-t about him. Watching seconds of video taken out of context and then casting judgement on him is reflective of a small mind. This seems to be a sport on egriz.

You have got to be fu*&ing kidding me. I've read some stupid shit on this board, but your post might be right on top. If he's a 4-star caliber kid...and former PAC 12 player, then he knows what it takes to be an athlete.

That's for the coaches to determine. You really don't know what the real situation is.

What situation? There is no situation. Your coaches got a case of the ass based on a lack of effort during practice. They made the players do a little extra work. Good for them.

I'm sure the coaches will have some extra words and probably extra work for #7 after seeing the clip. He needs it. Junior High players know they need to show up to fall camp in shape. It's ridiculous. It's also ridiculous that you come on to this board to underwrite his obvious indiscipline - typical though.

What is typical is trashing people on here without knowing nothing about the person. In this case on a few seconds of video without knowing the context. For the three quarters of practice before this video the kid busted his butt out there. You cannot tell by a few seconds of video as to what extent he is out of shape without seeing what led up to that moment in the video. Yes of course the coaches will be addressing it. That's their job.
