Great Grizzly Defenses!

We were lucky to be as close as we were, can't remember how many turnovers we had 3or 4, against a really good team. Can't turn the ball over if we want to beat Poly. Just watched the first half and part of the second half from their game last week against SDSU. They dominated that game worse than the score indicated. Going to be a really tough game on Sat.

I actually thought last year was about as good as I've seen the Griz' D play against the triple-option, Poly or anybody else. People love to blast Ty and the Griz' D for that last drive, but, the fact is, they forced Cal Poly to line up and kick a 50-yard FG on a colder than normal September night, and in a pretty good rain. The kid made the kick of his life as time expired. Hats off to him. With that exact same drive, in the same conditions, forcing a 50-yard FG as time expires, the Griz probably win 9 out of 10 times. Like I said, the kid from Poly, that will probably be the biggest play of his entire life. Good for him. But a miracle kick doesn't mean the Griz' D played poorly or Ty called a bad game.
"Forced"? You said "force" twice. The D didn't force a long field goal. That would imply they could stop CP.
The clock was the only thing that "forced" CP to take a long FG

Back to OP. Great Griz Ds. I was not a fan of Paulsen and his clone TG. I will take Breske/Semore any day

You are a true football idiot. I feel sorry for you.

The Griz D stopped CP all day long, including, almost, on the last 37 yard drive in 11 plays. Jeez, learn something about the game before you post your dumb stuff.

Every post I recall you making has been wrong or dumb.

My dream day is to meet all of you posters who don't have a clue about football, and who keep saying stupid stuff, so I could look you in the eye, and either feel sorry for you or laugh at you. Let me know if you want to get together for lunch. I'll buy.

The only stat that mattered in that game was the D couldn't make a single tackle when they needed one most

The only stat that mattered to me was the O couldn't make a single first down when they needed one most.
The game I saw, the D was on the field last and had a chance to win the game but simply couldn't make a tackle.
One of the most frustrating series in recent WAgriz history. And about once a month since, I like to take that frustration out on egriz whenever someone "doesn't" bring up TG's spectacular D vs CP.

Really? Because the game I saw the D wouldn't have even BEEN on the field last if the O had managed to get one damned first down.
Yeah, maybe you forgot or turned the channel before it was over or something but I was there and am still missing the patches of hair I pulled out on the last drive to prove it. Like I've said. This game has been debated to death. And I agree the D was better than the O that day. By a lot. But people act like the D played great holding CP to 50 yards under their average or some dumb stat. Whoopie! Truth is, TG was a miracle FG block away from going 0-fer-3 vs cowpolyester.
So I'm sick of CP having our number and they still may beat us this week but at least the bend-over-and-take-it D has left with TG.

You are the true idiot! You continue to spew crap about how much you know about football and what happened last year during that game! The truth is that Poly ran out the clock , and chose to be conservative like the Griz did, because they could! Like we did against UNI! If you understood football at all you'd get this! Oh wait, you talk to coaches and players...come on, admit that you're wrong-for once-and we can all move on!

Lol. "The Griz D stopped CP all day long, including, almost, [when it mattered most]."
11 plays on that drive is not a positive stat at all. It's not one too many, it was like 6 too many

Didn't you recently say that when posters turn to name calling they have no better argument?

Nope, don't think so. And, I wasn't making or refuting an argument. Just commenting on a dumb comment.

Feel free to make some substantive football comment. Would be happy to read it.

Oh god, that's your best response?

No, but I knew it was all you could wrap your brain around! You do nothing but insult what everyone says with sophomoric responses, pretending you know what you're talking about; but in reality you know nothing more than anyone else here.

"I won't want to talk to you no more, you empty-headed animal food trough wiper! I fart in your general direction! Your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries!"

Most of my posts have good substance, and that's why most people like them. You, on the other hand, have no clue.

While true, and I'd take that kid attempting that 47 yarder in those conditions 10 out of 10 times, the Griz simply needed to tackle one ball carrier -- ONE!!! -- in bounds on that drive and they win that game without the kicker seeing the field. And they had multiple opportunities but instead let Poly get outside contain and get out of bounds repeatedly. It was a terrible defensive series.

That all said, the Griz O picks up half a yard on 4th and 5 inches and we're not having this conversation, so....

And Ursa,      Week 3 in the books!!! PR is nothing if not predictable.
