Long Beach Poly was the home to Griz Basketball players Leroy Washington and Brandon Dade. I can't remember a Griz Football player coming out of there before.

Looks like we got a couple of winners. Liking these young men. Welcome to Montana fellas!! :thumb:

I can't wait for these young men to play for the Griz. They will love the warm weather until late November but by then they both will have their motors going at high RPMs. This could be one of the best (two) kids to play for us.

Great players!

Los Angeles/Long Beach combined make the largest port in America. Snoop Dog was born in Long Beach. Both Jeremy and Justin played in the Snoop's youth football league (same age as Snoop's son, Cordell Broadus -- who signed this Feb with UCLA at WR, as a 4-star recruit).

Long Beach Poly players WR/Ret Justin Calhoun commented he was worried about the culture shock coming to Montana (he had not been on a visit), and RB Jeremy Calhoun commented that he was worried about the weather in Montana (he had recently visited), when they were interviewed on signing day, FEB 4.

I'm sure Justin will enjoy himself in Misoula, and I'm sure Jeremy will adjust to the weather Look at the the CA and AZ players that have excelled in, and even grown to like the cold in Montana; CB Josh Dennard for example, an AZ kid that said he relished winter games, no sleeves even when some other players wore sleeves)

These two are going to bring Griz fans to their feet!

The coaches should have Tru come back and speak to all the Cali kids who will play. Having a kid from their state who was drafted in the third round playing in Missoula should give them some reassurance that things will be just fine

The GRIZ have a history of CA players loving Montana. No need to look further than current RB coach/recruiting coordinator, Justin Green. He loved it so much, he came back when his NFL playing days were finished. :thumb:

To take it further, how many Californians move to MT every year?

Too many?

!!!

I will be excited about any kid from that program becoming a Griz. Those inner city kids will bring some toughness to our program. I don't even care if theyre backups in HS, just give me some Long Beach Poly guys!

Seem like some smart and motivated guys, and with the whole "telepathy" thing it's especially great that we got both of them! I know its early but I get a good feeling about these two.
