ok, bigkid....I lived thru a de-emphasis of the athletic department and don't enjoy seeing it happening again.

I understand but there is nothing we can do about it so lets try to stay positive and hopefully something good will come out of it. I really think all will turn out if we get a NCAA report that shows no big violations. That and a JJ aquittal will go a long way in correcting the downward spiral. I'm trying to find a way to stay positve and sometimes jokin around helps.............no disrespect intended.

I think the one coach that's out there that would come back to Montana and compliment the current state of affairs with Griz Football is Bobby Petrino. Think about it.....he's been a winner everywhere he's been.....great recruiter and motivator....and knows and adheres to Griz values and history. Yeah....he's had a little "personal" problem but it can be certainily be overlooked when you look at the big picture of Griz football in the last few years....hey most Griz fans are praying for redemption in light of the problems that have surfaced.....what better than a good coach that just wants a second chance!!!!

Petrino won't stoop to coaching lowly FCS, nor will he have to. If Mike Price can get caught bunking with a prostitute at a coaches convention and still get hired at an FBS school, Petrino should be able to, also.

To suggest Petrino at UM is a joke at best, he wouldn't work for the pitiful salary he would get, his 25 year old "hire" at Arkansas was making almost as much as UM is wiling to pay a HC. Yes he is a winner but there is more to it than that--things like morals and ethics are rather important. Let's stay positive, I think things will eventually level off and we can hire a good HC who will do fine--maybe not what we are used to though. I think the Key here is to get the Main Hall mess straightened out for the good of the entire university.

Gragg doesn't bring anything different than what delaney did. And i think that is exactly what the plan is. Gragg will bring a no nonsense discipline. wins and loses will be another story. it just seems to me that this is the new trend in griz football... discipline first, wins second(or somewhere down the list)

I think this is an excellent move. I remember people saying Larry Krystowiak was a bad hire for the basketball team.

I remember being at reporter at UM and people saying Bobby Hauck was a bad hire.

The truth is none of us know what kind of OC and possibly future head coach Scott Gragg would make.

I know he bleeds Grizzly. I know that means alot and I would think all of his personal experience can't hurt him.

I for one am looking forward to seeing what happens. Either way, we're going to be just fine.

Taken in the second round of the 1995 draft by the NY Giants (okay, 18-year-old freshmen, assuming 2013 recruit, were just born), played for the 49ers in 2000-2004, and the Jets in 2005 (freshman probably a fan, might have his jersey).
