Gradney No. 37

I may be just a tad bit off base here, but I'm starting to wonder if being a part of the church group on campus that Welnel and Janacaro belonged to is adding, perhaps, another layer to the "traditional requirements" of getting the jersey. Maybe it is just my perspective being skewed, but I find it odd that "god working in their lives" and them being a good Christian has been mentioned in the last two passing ons.

Nothing against Gradney. I think he is tremendous. I just find it odd that we are getting a religious message with it the last two years.

I think you're opening a particularly spicy can of worms for eGriz here lol, but there is no defined criteria other than the current player picks, so if he decides to limit it to players that share his faith and devotion to Christianity, there's nothing saying he can't do that.

Trying to separate Church and Football may be as successful as separating Church and State, lol. I totally get your sentiment, but this probably isn’t the place to bring up the “god” discussion simply because it will distract from celebrating Gradney.

You guys are both right. If I could delete that, I would. Not my number, not my business. And as I said, Gradney is a wonderful player and kid. I shouldn't have posted that, and kept the focus positive and on him. That is usually my M.O. All apologies.
