Good, Bad, Ugly - UC Davis

One other ugly that I noticed or maybe just stupid. UCD wide receiver #8 who was dancing and celebrating like they were winning the Super Bowl. On his second TD catch he puts up his 2 fingers for his second TD. Then it’s back to the sidelines doing his look at me dance and ain’t I great even though my team is getting their butts kicked.

No doubt. That guy was a total punk. Is he related to Antonio Brown?

Good: Cy Sirmon getting a pass reception! It wasn’t pretty, but it was pretty cool!

I would like to see Sirmon being used more as a slot receiver.

Don’t kid yourself. That’s a damn good team, and Maier is still ranked #5 in passing yards. And their back Gilliam is 16th in rushing yards. As a team, they are #33 in Total Offense. And, despite the points the Griz put up, Davis is still #43 in Scoring Defense. And they have many other good stats.

So Davis is better than a "mediocre team." The Griz just flat-out outplayed them on Saturday. Or, as someone put it :lol: , “out-everythinged” them

All but one of their toughest games the rest of the way are at home, so it’s conceivable that they could go undefeated or, at worst, 6-1.

Never had to pay. Hawkins is a class act. Not sure I would want to see these guys again in the playoffs.

I only know what my eyes tell me and I saw nothing that would indicate that UCD was the fourth best team in the nation. No run game, defense gave up many third down conversions and lot's of stupid penalties. The announcers started talking about the game in the past tense with 8 minutes to go in the third quarter.

I guess I'm curious mcg, coming into this weekend's games who you felt should have been ranked 4th in the nation?

If not 4th, after the UNDSU game where should they have been?

I can see several teams sitting higher than us right now that have no place being where they are. There are also several teams I just havent followed closely enough to even make a determination.

Let's just make this easy for you. As of today, just name your top ten in order. Pre season rankings aside, (starting points mean everything when getting bumped up or down) Ignore the pre season #s.

After outcomes of games that have been played to date who belongs in that top ten? We do, Bizon do, UCD does.

Griz have played some solid games against some good opponents and we have yet faulter after 5 games. A couple hiccups but not the huge pile of vomit wins AG State has pulled off.
