Good, Bad and the Ugly

Not ugly, cursed.

Well shucks: some days just suck.Everything goes wrong. Your dog gets run over, your neighbor just ran out the back door naked, The bank just called the loan on your 75 chevy pick-up. and to end all bad days. The Bobcat beat the Grizzlies. The good news is that the Griz have a bye, and will smoke the next team, and probably go to the finals. Lighten up folks : Go Griz

...griz maybe won one first down...
...you can' beat a running team...
...if you don't win first down...

I think we do know that. What other teams fans rush the field after beating a team when they're already in the playoffs? I don't think you'll see any major consternation if something crazy happens and the cats get bounced early in the playoffs, because hey, they beat the Griz.

Obviously the game means a ton to both teams. Hence the meltdown among Griz fans and the jubilation among Cat fans. The "you care more than us" narrative is beyond stupid. Both teams and fan base care a whole lot... which is why it's a great rivalry.

But that's not what was said. He said that Cat fans would be content to go 1-9 every year as long as the one was in the Brawl. That's clearly bullshit. But whatever gets you through, I guess.
I know you guys are jazzed and expecting a meltdown, but the collective state of this website and Griz fans in general today is way better than it was even compared to after we lost to Sac just over a month ago, let alone the train wreck that was the aftermath of last year's game.

This is the tamest and most reserved I've seen this site and the fanbase after a loss to the Cats in my lifetime.

To be fair, we’re getting a lot of practice

Hmm :-|

This is why the Cats have... wait for it... nine wins.

But we all know the cats could go 1-9 and as long as that one win was against the Griz, cat fans would be ecstatic

Do we all know that? Because that sounds totally wrong to me.

Well, apparently everyone but you. The fan base has proved it year over year. Ecstatic, tearing down goal posts when they win, even after four in a row (still don't know how to act like they been there), then dejected and pathetic AF when they lose, even with playoffs on the horizon. This is why the cats flame out every year when they get to the playoffs: because UM was their last game.

It's science ...

You and several others have been measured, with great perspective.

Elsewhere, I've seen suggestions that Griz coaches be fired, that the loss was on purpose, that Bobby's comments cost them their edge, that they don't even deserve the playoffs, etc, etc.

The point is simple and shouldn't even be controversial-- both sides of this rivalry care a whole lot. I'm not even trying to make fun. I know BN would be much the same.

Most of those dipshits have less than 100 posts, and claim to be Griz fans.

Take your meds Faque. This entire post is about the griz not beating the cats - you know - because that's not important in Missoula, it's only important in Bozeman. Well, hell ya it's important! 4 in a row dude. You happy with that? Is it important to you? Average TOP 35.14 minutes, rushing for 323, and passing for ave 99 with no interceptions over the last 4 meetings. You'll try to poke a hole in the passing game, but really? Why pass when bobby can't stop the run?

Agreed. But really, what can you say that's not stupid at this point? Go back a few days and read all the bs about how bad the cats are, how the griz are going to own them, etc, etc. That was an epic beatdown for the ages. Glad Cats were on the right side of it. Now..... wait......Go Griz! Go make Montana proud in the playoffs!!

When the line of scrimmage is pushed 3 yards downfield right after the snap it is easy to get 5+ yards per carry. Looked like a varsity against a scout team. DOLA was in blue and piss yellow .
