Strong passing game, 2 of 9 for 9 yards; QBR of 8.4.

Similar to the formula they used in Missoula last season. When you can get a W by running for seven yards a crack, 400 this game, and play a little defense, you can forgive no production through the air.

What about if you can get a W by giving up 500 yards but getting the stops when you need it combined with a lights out offense?

A W is a W. But I’d be careful about crowing about a lights out offense. Even Weewu struggles @ times in this BSC. On the other hand, UNDSU seems to run prolifically and seldom struggles. I can see how seductive that can be to a guy like cho....

Ps. Tackle. It appears they have already learned the value of blocking.

What seductive to me is winning. 4-2 vs 2-3 so far. I like our chances...

That was all bc of the wind Kem, remember. Even though PSU threw it all over them for 317. Gubrud will do to them what he did to us, maybe worse if that's possible haha.

No way EWU throws for 549 on msu defense. Wager?

When you play prevent offense like MSU it is difficult to put up big offensive numbers for the other team. See the WSU game where the final score wasn’t even close to showing the complete domination by WSU. I guess it’s good for a moral victory...
MSU plays defense when they are on offense.

OK let's see how confident you really are. I'll bet you he throws for at least 400 and that you guys lose by at least 14.

I mean will you really feel better if he "only" throws for 400+. Both are disgusting and should make our defenses ashamed. I was disgusted with what he did to the Griz whether it was 400 or 500. Neither are acceptable and are embarrassing.

224 and 31 points.

MSU Defense played well, offense kept turning it over.

In other words MSU has problems on offense and a solid defense. Kind of the opposite of the Grizzlies, with one exception. I believe the Grizzly defense is actually making some improvements. I am not sure about the Bobcat offense? Not trying to be a jerk. I just don’t know that Murray is the guy. Seems like the offense is very one dimensional.

Meh, watched the game last night on DVR. Everything Gunrud threw was caught. He was like 18-18 at one point. Only thing is they stopped throwing and punched MSU in the mouth at their own game, rushing for 49 carries, averaging 4.6 per carry and having a 147 yard rusher and winning TOP. I have a feeling no one saw that coming, including your coaching staff. My point being Gubrud averaged 7.2 per throw but only threw 31 times

Versus the Griz he threw 65 times averaging 8.2 pet throw. So even if he threw 60 times at his 7.2 that he was averaging for the cats he lights it up but he didn't have to because the Eagles were able to run the ball, very effectively

Gubrud’s yards were below normal, but he completed 80% of his passes. EWU also had 31 first downs and converted 79% of their 3rd downs. Must have been a lot of bend but don’t break defense by MSU.

Coach Gem Choate is single-handedly revolutionizing the game of football. Bringing back the single-wing offense and going for two-point conversions after each and every touchdown, regardless if it makes sense or not.

All legit points. Murray really struggling throwing the ball right now.

EWU defense did a great job containing Murray scrambling. The DL all stayed at the LOS containing the pocket and dared him to pass.

Interesting. Don you think Rovig will start at some point this year? Everything I have heard or read is positive. 6’5” tall with a good arm. Not sure if he can run?

No i don't think will play this year. From all reports he has a big accurate arm, But I think coaches would like to keep the red shirt on him.

Phenicie has them playing well, it always fun to see a coach come in and have an immediate impact on a team.

I'm curious to see how they finish the season. Also curious to see if Phen can have any long term success in pocatello. That has eluded ISU as long as I can remember.
1-3 in conf.; SacSt 41, ISU 21

I like how WTFGB or whatever his name is, come on here and bumps weeks old threads to validate himself. I saw he bumped another one from the PSU game too.

Only it doesn't validate shit. Giving up 450, 31 first downs, giving up 11-14 3rd downs, getting beat in rushing yards and TOP, seeing EWU only punt the ball once, and him saying the defense played well?? If that's a good defense I can't wait to see them play bad defense.

That'll be Nov 18th, I believe.
