Get Rid of Engstrom!

I am glad Engstrom had the balls to clean this sh*tpile up and restore some integrity to this program.

The only way this could be any better is if he dismissed a few more people that need to see the door. Either way its a great first step that took a decade to take.

Dont be dense, you and I both know that Pflu was a good coach but if he isnt going to change the rape culture at UM then there is the door. These firings are LONG overdue this should have happened when Hauck was here and the thugs were invading homes and curbstomping frat boys.

Its about time somebody did the right thing and cleaned this sh*thole up.

I think people need to settle down and let some things play out before the all get huffy and puffy about all of this. The guy knew his decision would be wildly unpopular. Pflu and Jim have lawyered up and Engstrom and the powers at be will be having to explain themselves. I expect more information to come to light and things to potentially to get even uglier, but at this point all parties are doing exactly what they should be doing by keeping their mouths shut and keeping their emotions at check. One thing I will never understand is "fans" crying for the University harshly being sued. That isn't a good scenario for the University or for the coaches and players who remain with the program. The best scenario for everybody is for Jim and Robin to get what they are fairly owed and for everybody to move on and support whoever is brought into replace them. Sourgrapes don't help anybody.
 
Actually Highline a big issue is many people want an explanation and it is very apparent UM is going to give ZERO explanation until a lawsuit or sheer public outrage forces them to do so.

People are crying for ENGSTROM/UM to be sued as per his actions without just cause. This will involve UM but Engstrom has created the angry atmosphere.

I look forward to an actual explanation other than Royce Engstrom having a power trip.

The University handled the firings exactly as they should have. Jim and Robin handled their dismissals exactly as they should have. The legalities of the whole manner and how this thing is ultimatly going to be settled will work out for the best if decisions are made with reason and not by emotions. Fans are not owed an explanation at this point. The only thing that should be considered is the well being of the University and those effected directly by the decisions being made (coaches and players). As an alumni who cares a great deal about the University, I hope that all outcomes of this manner work out for the best for the University and the football program.

For most intelligent people the "explanation" was crime after crime after crime committed by our football program for the last decade.

That really is all anyone needs to know.




I have written a letter to the board of regents as well but it is in support of the masterful job that Royce Engstrom is doing to clean up our thug culture at UM.

He is most definitely on the right track.
 
I have written letters to State representatives requesting Engstrom at least fully disclose/justify why he has wrongfully fired Pflu and Oday.

I have sent a similiar letter demanding Royce give a honest explanation to the people of Montana.
