Get ready for a drawn out process

Or, maybe discussions continue today and Bobby is talking to the old assistants, whom Haslam said would have a chance to apply.

You may darn well be right. But why wait to announce Hauck as head coach? The longer this goes, the more people are going to assume Haslam is having second thoughts-especially after Kato's article.

Nobody with a brain would give the Missoulian article a second thought. Many in Missoula will, but that just establishes my point.

...just a thought..haslems says that there is "substantial interest" in the HC job..is it possible a
high caliber coach has step into the process that Haslem cannot avoid...and he's worth the
time and effort to aleast consider him..it might have complicated process..lets not forget
the financial aspects as well..a great coach can reap a bounty of financial rewards..is it also
possible that Bodnar has brought in candidates also and Haslem is doing his part to the new boss..

It is highly likely other interesting prospects have expressed an interest. If so, or not, Haslam needs to kick everything into high gear.

He needs a focused list of genuine candidates in short order. Make an offer and secure the terms. Baby needs a new pair of shoes, and the Grizzlies need a head coach for the recruiting!

Regardless of who he hires or how long it takes, Haslem realizes that he has to get this one right, or he'll be looking for a new gig as well!

Maybe, that is the reason for this delay.

Who started this thread?

Jim O'DayDay?

UM athletics thrived under the direction of the previous AD....it was a small number of athletes who went too far. I think it would be ok if Haslam resigned and Jim ODay rehired..

While I agree with you that O'Day was a good AD....that's a pipe dream if I've ever seen one!

You're sadly right about that. I bet O'Day would have had a plan B at hand. I am less and less impressed with the Athletic Director at UM. like that matters...
