Former Eag, I think you actually have it completely backwards and the EWU/UM rivalry has nothing to do with it. But actually A STADIUM AND FACILIITIES AND, honestly, big $$ donors/boosters DO MAKE A PROGRAM. No question, EWU has had great football TEAMS the last few seasons, but there's a BIG BIG difference between a GREAT team and a GREAT program. Montana has SUSTAINED a program for the last 25 years now, and Washington-Grizzly Stadium, the Washington family, people like Wayne Hogan and Jim O'Day, things like that are reasons WHY the program has sustained. Teams come and go, and yes, I don't think Montana is a GREAT team this season, but if 2014, 2012 and 2010 are the worst days of this program, I think I'll take that over a few great teams over the last 25 years, which is honestly what EWU has had in that same stretch, A FEW. I know you'll take that as smack, but it's really not. I'm just pointing out the difference between TEAM and PROGRAM.

People, mostly Griz fans, are saying this is the worst Griz team ever, which I personally disagree with but whatever. But if 6-3, 4-1 with three weeks left in November is the worst it's getting in this program. I can live with that. I can live with the fact that UM has had EXACTLY ONE sub. 500 season in the last 25. Call it living in the past all you want, but that's something to be extremely proud of if you are a fan/alumn. In other words, that's A PROGRAM.

Why does it take logic from a fan from an opposing school to get our fan base to admit that our program has declined significantly? Deal in the real world for a change. It will set you free, and allow you to stop supporting mediocrity, and to demand that changes are made to return us to glory.

As an example, just read your post. You are still talking about the past (last 25 years) like that has jack sh*t to do with the present. And, I am not talking about this season. I am talking about the last 5, where we had one good year. 20% doesn't cut it in Grizland, my friend!

I find it interesting how much self-esteem egrizzies get from the pure luck of having one family with deep pockets fund their playpen. Yes we've had some assistance by an elite donor. That same donor has seen the value and pledged again to the UM. However, you are short sighted in your comments. Money has poured in from thousands of friends of the UM. Many are not alumni. We have the most expensive seats in the FCS and the beat goes on. Back to football. We'll hold onto the football and wear down your bitch laden defense. I see us running the pigskin 40 times in this game. If VA plays, his sore footie will stiffen and his mobility will suffer. You will score, but this will NOT be the 4 hour game of last year. We'll beat your asses and leave you stunned on the "tampon" and your high school football field. Switching to another hemisphere, have you guys seen the pool they have at the Jags stadium now? Talk about the ultimate party atmosphere.

Call me a party pooper, but crap like that at a professional sports facility just irritates the shit out of me. If you wanna go play in a pool, that's awesome, go do it. But that crap is a distraction from the game. One of the worst stadiums I've been in for this was whatever they now call Bank One Ballpark in Phoenix. It's not only ugly, has terrible sightlines and is generally just unpleasant to be in, it's also got so many dumbass video screens and a pool in the outfield that they make sure to show on the distracting video screen. It's almost as though they deliberately try to make sure you don't watch the game. Just bugs me to no end. I'd rather sit in Green Bay's stadium in a t-shirt in January than hang with a bunch of douchey frat boys in a pool in Florida.

Boy, I'm in a mood... I just watched that EWU "hype up" video and now I'm so pissed off, you could almost put me in pads to knock some heads. So irritated right now.

Man, I hope the Griz beat their asses today.
