Game Day Thread/Caleb Hill

you are allowed to block as long as the ball is thrown behind the line of scrimmage (just like the shovel pass), the pic six that hill threw is the same thing, only in the flat......, taylor in this case is responsible for blocking and tying up the defensive back immediately leaving the receiver open....in all probability the pic six was on taylor and not hill at all....it is not a check down play, it is a called play..... the qb is taught to raise up and fire the ball asap, as the reception should be there...then the receiver tries to make a man miss, usually a safety or linebacker one on one for possible long yardage play. hill has taken most of the blame for this,,,even the interception over the middle that he had was a 50-50 ball imo and could have been fought for better by our guy....just trying to incorporate a little fair balance here to some degree.

As I said in different thread, I beleive it's best if stitt finds a transfer qb and place Caleb as maybe a tighend. He is not Griz Caliber QB, especially as our only backup😩 feel bad for saying but I believe everyone feels same. I usually get proved wrong so I hope so  gogriz

Helenahandbasket says we aren't Montana anymore, so his not being Griz caliber shouldn't matter. We aren't Montana so we aren't the Griz....yeah I don't know what the hellinahandbasket he's talking about either.

Yeah, I’m sure there’s nothing between him and Stitt. I know Stitt is hard on his QBs because he expects a lot out of them, and it probably looks a lot worse from the stands than it is.

That said, Caleb had a tough day, and it seemed to affect his attitude pretty badly. We need him composed and confident should anything happen to Gresch, and I we can’t afford to have performances like that go to his head. Glad he played today, though.

I don't know what was in the game thread, but I don't think Stitt has ANY confidence in Hill whatsoever and there is no way in hell Hill will be back next year, but I'm just glad Stitt had enough sense to turn to him early in the 3rd to protect Jensen. In the same vein, I don't know why he kept putting JLM out there for punt returns with a 37 pt lead. Seriously! What's the point?
So you were next to George in the stands or youre basing this on...?
