GAME DAY THREAD - Butler

Well we have the first game over with now we have to clean up a lot of things. Defense had no pressure, cornerbacks were getting beat. Offense had trouble opening holes for the running game, receivers not catching passes. First game jitters I hope. Vidlak had some nice passes, and McDowell had some good runs. Fouch lit up that ball carrier, holy smokes what a hit. Looking forward to improving play. I believe GO GRIZ!!!!

Of their 260ish yards passing, I'm guessing, between 60 and 100 yards were contested catches and runs. Their 1 td we missed a tackle and the receiver drug defenders for 7 to 10yards. I recall 1 or true defensive breakdowns. So they weren't running wide open all the time. In fact very seldom. The majority of their yards were hard earned plays they made.
