The stats are finally up on ESPN's site:

Jamar damn hear had another triple double! 23 points, 12 rebounds, 8 assists.

Great game by Deshields at the point too. 0 turnovers in 37 minutes. Nice to see the Griz taking care of the ball after how bad it looked in the 1st half of the Minn game.

Interesting on the stats. Maybe the mess up with the official stats has to do with Weisner. Radio kept saying he had TWO 3-pointers down the stretch plus those two big FT's.....that would be a total of 8 pts not the 7 listed in the box score.

True. Hard to know what the real deal is on the stats. The "live stats" on South Dakota State's website shows the Griz won 78-69, yet if you add up the scoring for the Griz on that same live stat page it comes to 77 point for the Griz.

It's good to see Deshields play well. When he plays with patience & takes what the defense gives him he does well.

Great win Griz! IMO, SDSU will end up with a respectable record by season's end.

One concern: the box score at GoGriz.com lists the Griz had only 1 offensive rebound (Hutch) the entire game while shooting 56.5%. The Griz had 5 against Minnesota while shooting 40%. In comparison, SDSU and UMinn both had double digit offensive rebounds while both shot about 44%.

I know somebody touched on this in the Minnesota game thread (that because of style of play, don't expect a lot of offensive rebounds from the Griz), but is it all just a matter of "style of play" and being out of position or is there a lack of effort rebounding on the offensive end? Do the Griz have to shoot lights out all the time in order to win games? Because the first half against SDSU was evidence of what happens when shots aren't dropping for the Griz (and luckily the Jacks shot poorly, as well).

I think the rebounding is what it is and we are just going to have to live with it. Not sure it is any one thing, I think it is a little bit of all the things you mentioned. Other than Jamar, our best rebounders are Martin, Kemp and Emerson and those three have the fewest minutes on the team. I think for now Tinks is content with playing small and letting the 3's fly. That has always been a scary proposition to me but having no less than 9 guys on the team that can flat shoot makes it a lot easy to swallow. This is going to be an interesting year!

While style of play may have an effect on rebounding, one of the biggest factors is simply heart and effort. No matter what offense or defense is being played, good rebounders just go get the ball no matter what!

great win. but remember, hitting 75% of your three's in the second half covers a lot of sins. we're not going to hit 75% of three's again all year, while the original sin of poor rebounding remains. let's be happy, but not jacked.

It's called cosmic justice, citay. Remember all those other sinning teams that beat our hard-working Griz teams with the three? It's our turn.

USF has managed to make the 3 pt shot the key to their program. Aren't they among the top 5 in the country the 3? the next game should be a shoot out from the perimeter.
