Game 2...South Dakota State

29.9 seconds to go 73-69 after SDSU hits a 3.

Foul on SDSU sending Deshields to the line. Hits them both giving him 12 points and putting the Griz up 75-69.

SDSU misses a 3 and they promptly foul Weisner. Griz up by 6 with 19 seconds to go and Weisner going to the line to shoot 2 now.

Looks like this is over if Weisner hits these. And.....he does :) Griz up 8 with 19 seconds to go.

Dunn with a rebound on a SDSU miss. Griz win 77 - 69! Big win!

Ending SDSU's 30 game home win streak, which was the longest home win streak in D1 (maybe in all the NCAA? Not sure). Very nice revenge win! :)

That was a solid win. Other than a crappy start, not much to complain about tonight. I am excited for Hutchison having a solid game, at least offensively.

Still some dependencies on the official stat sheet it sounds like. So who knows what the actual final score was. All that matters is Griz win!

Griz end up shooting 26-46 after starting 1-7.

Griz got outrebounded 36 - 29. Griz only had 1 offensive rebound. Tinkle was very pleased after the game, but probably not too pleased with the 1 offense rebound stat.

Jamar - 23 Points, 12 Rebounds (40 minutes)
Deshields - 12 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 1 steal (37 minutes)
Hutch - 11 points and 3 rebounds. (30+ minutes)
Gfeller - 11 points, 1 steal
Dunn - 8 points, 1 rebound, 1 assist and a steal.
Lopez - 3 points
Gregory - 2 points but only played 10 mins.
Martin - 1 rebound & 1 assist
Weisner - No idea, he forgot to give Weisner's stats.
Kemp - No idea, stats not given on the radio for Kemp either that I heard.

Deshields and Dunn combine to put up Will Cherry like stats, with better scoring though. Gfeller was huge as well. Weisner hit some big shots. Nice to see Lopez contribute too. Now to get Hutchison to get some boards.

The stats are finally up on ESPN's site:

Jamar damn near had another triple double! 23 points, 12 rebounds, 8 assists.

Great game by Deshields at the point too. 0 turnovers in 37 minutes. Nice to see the Griz taking care of the ball after how bad it looked in the 1st half of the Minn game.

Interesting on the stats. Maybe the mess up with the official stats has to do with Weisner. Radio kept saying he had TWO 3-pointers down the stretch plus those two big FT's.....that would be a total of 8 pts not the 7 listed in the box score.
