Nora Klick Great Falls High

Haily Nicholson Malta

I've seen highlights on the news of Klick from earlier in the year and from state, she looks good.

I can't wait to see next year Taylor Goligoski (Hamilton) from last years LG class. I watched her beat Butte Central last year at the SW Divisional and in the State Championship. She is talented, has a bright future.

This point guard, Kloie Thatcher, is one to keep an eye on. She's quick and a great distributor and she's got a super smooth shot, the net doesn't even move... :thumb:

Columbia Falls has some talented players as well.

Watch Central Valley in Spokane Valley! They are young but just won the big school state championship in Washington. You could probably take the whole team and have a great college team!

I think the Lady Griz would be wise to offer Tiana Johnson of Flathead. Granted, the team was only about 2-19 last year, but in a game against Bozeman, Flathead lost 37-74, but Johnson had 20 of those 37 points. She's a 6'1" guard/forward that averaged 10.5 pts and 6 rb as a sophomore. Daughter of Tryg Johnson, a one time MSU Bobcat BSC All-Conference 6'9" center, if not mistaken.

Another, would be Sophie Stiles, a 5'7" point guard from Malta.

My last post on Kloie Thatcher - Can play at the 1 or 2.

2014-2015 Freshman - State runner-up, State All Tournament Team.

2015-2016 Sophomore - 24-0, State Champion, State All Tournament Team and State Tournament C0-MVP, named All State player. http://buttesports.com/thatcher-pica-named-co-mvps-state-tourney/

As a Freshman in the State Championship, she held the tournament MVP (Ashley Albert, Hamilton) to just 13 points...while herself scoring a team high 17. Two-time Gatorade B-Ball player of the year, Taylor Goligoski (Hamilton) scored a game high 21.

As a Sophomore, playing in divisional's and state tournament, lead her team every game in scoring (except in state chipper where her teammate, Senior Sierra Pica the tournament Co-MVP with Sophomore Thatcher, went off for a career best 19.) At Divisionals - game-high 18 pts (four 3 pointers) against Polson, game-high 20 pts against Frenchtown, team-high 17 points in Div Champ against Columbia Falls. At State, game-high 16 points against Fergus, game-high 21 points against Dillon in semi-finals...clutch free throw shooting, hitting 10 out of 10 in the final 1:11 of the semi-final game, hit three 3-pointers in state championship versus a very talented, tall Columbia Falls -- one off an inbound, with .7 on the 1st half clock before throwing it in play, hitting the shot from near the opposing bench...to go up 6 at half, instead of just 3. There were 4 all state players on this BC team this year, so they had to share the ball.

Columbia Falls' only losses on the year were to AA #1 team Missoula Sentinal (19-1 reg season) during the year, and two losses to the A #1 undefeated team Butte Central.

Thatcher (the Butte Central team) did well in the two AA games they played, winning both. During a 65-52 victory at Helena High, Thatcher poured in a game-high 26 points, connecting on 7 of 9 3-pointers, and finishing 8-10 overall and a perfect 3 for 3 at the foul-line.

She is a stand-out softball player as well, where as a Freshman shortstop she was hitting .433 going into state: (short video) http://www.kxlf.com/story/29070435/athlete-of-the-week-kloie-thatcher-butte-central
Practice for that, her Soph yr, is underway... looking forward to following them again...
Edited this post because I forgot to add that Kloie Thatcher, as a Freshman, was named All-State in softball, right alongside current Lady Griz Taylor Goligoski (Hamilton). http://buttesports.com/thatcher-peoples-thatcher-highlight-bc-postseason-awards/

She isn't even half-way done with her HS career and her bio is off the charts. 8-) :thumb:

GO LADY GRIZ
