mtgrizrule, you amaze me. Are you really that ignorant that you can't figure out why these two were fired? Do you need to be spoon fed to understand it? The program was out of control with frequent criminal acts committed, and O'Day anf Pflu doing nothing but apologizing and covering up facts. Hell Petrino got fired for much less than these two did! Figure it out and stop whining about it!
Ass Clown, #1 until it is reported from the school why they were dismissed, we can all wonder, and there is no crime in asking.
#2 if you took the time to actually read a few of my original posts on this, I posted why we don't know more, is because of legalities.
#3 I have stated posted a few times, It is about time someone make an impact statement, in hopes of getting the program back on a new a better road, which I am relieved we are now on.
As for covering up facts, until the university further explains all this, they are still covering up facts to the general public. I have not one time called out anyone, O'day, Plu, Engstrom, or anyone for anything of negative nature. Until the story, and the facts come out, I am staying neutral as I can on this.
Regardless of what anyone thinks, or what side anyone is on, I see nothing wrong with anyone wanting to know, and asking for more information. After all, that is the only way the rumors, guesses, innuendos, and taking shots into the dark, will be put to the end.
If you don't like people wanting or asking for more regarding a program, university, and people they have a genuine desire, interest, and passion for, that is your opinion, and you are entitled to it. Funny part is, you are calling people out for asking, and you are just as guilty for continually asking them to stop.
Many just want to hear each side of the story, then form an educated decision. Plus when we do, it it will be much easier for the anti Engstrom people to maybe change, or at least lighten up. At this stage, many feel it is unfortunate for 2 good people having lost their job. As to if it was justified, or not? We all are entitled to our opinions. If it turns out to be be unjustified, in the public eye, it could end up causing Engstrom, or others, their jobs, too. If it turns out to be justified, it could strengthen the support for Engstrom. I honestly do not know which it is yet. I do know though, the longer it takes for the public to know more, the more the animosity toward Engstrom will grow, with some. Especially, with those that considered O'day, and/or Pflu friends.
I can see both sides of this, and do not have a problem with either, and am not one of the people calling for Engstrom's job. I do feel for the university, as a whole to move forward from this, in time, it will have to lay the cards on the table. The football program is too big of Montana Culture, for the public to just let it die, and that has nothing to do with which side one is supporting now, or later.
As for myself, and I am sure many other egrizzers, before opening your large "pie hole" go back and check for facts, as to what one has said, or not. For that matter, for the betterment of Egriz, just let someone shut that piehole for you.
I used to give you the benefit of doubt here, as to what some said/posted about you, but as time has played on egriz, I am beginning to see why your enemies say what they say, and they are much closer to being accurate about you, than you are on them.
