I think it should be pointed out that JJ, Kemp, and Roots have only had a single instance,

kemp was also busted for urinating in public.
Kemp also faces a separate charge for urinating in public, based on an alleged Oct. 2 incident,

If I were JJ, knowing that my behavior contributed to the firing of two individuals, I would not return.

Funny you should mention that as I had similar thoughts. If I were Jordan Johnson, Trumaine Johnson, Gerald Kemp, Beau Donaldson, Houston Roots, etc, etc, etc, I'd feel pretty bad that my inability to stay out of trouble cost two people their livelihoods.

I'm going to go out on a big, sturdy limb and guess that most of those fellas don't give two shits.

Whoops, forgot, high crime there.

We never see that, especially at Griz games, along the riverfront trail... never...

Understandable Brint. I understand what you are getting at. The problem is that the camel already had a pack full of straw and did not need anyone placing anymore on it. Whether it was urinating in public or an alleged sexual assault. Also, don't read too much into the girl bailing Roots out. It is extremely common for the victim in a domestic dispute to not want to press charges, change their story, or even bail the alleged abuser out of jail.

I get you there, and I feel like an ass posting on here trying to justify some stuff that's lead to arrests. I think to times of "kids being kids" urinating in public, public disturbance with a loud party, stuff like that happens - but I get surrounding the nature of all the other events it is just adding on to this and attributes to Engstom's choice of a need for change.

If JJ stays, this is good news, and I will gladly chew someone's ear, that told me it. Then again, it might have looked that way, then a change of heart. I for one, will be relieved if JJ remains.
Much depends on whether rape charges are filed and he is prosecuted. Even out on bail he might not be able to leave the state. There could be a long legal battle with a chance of getting transfered to a nasty place. With Engstrom putting his stake in the ground (undoubtedly pressured by a pro-MSU BOR), the likelyhood we see JJ on a Griz gameday again is slim in my opinion.

My intent was not call out specific players, but to agree that there are an unknown number of players who got their HC and AD fired by their off field behavior. I guess they have to live with that.

I thought it was interesting that the Missoulian's "list of current legal problems" went all the way back to 2007. Nothing like padding the stats.

So when do you want them to start reporting the facts? Jan 2012?

I guess what I am asking is, what fits your agenda so we can make this work out best for you instead of covering the whole thing and letting people make their own conclusions?

O'Day was AD in 2007. I think that list shows a preponderance of evidence of his unwillingness/inability to deal effectively with the issues at hand.

No, but it sure is an indictment on O'Day's tenure and the crap that has run amuck in the football program while he has been AD.

Is O'Day supposed to babysit the football players, no. Should he be dropping the hammer on the football coach for the disciplinary issues associated with such players actions - hell yes.

Reeeeeallllly grasping here. Red-shirts put in 5 years at a program. i would have no problem looking back to 2005 when O'Day took over.

Hear ye! Hear ye!

Is there any reason Pflu would have said positive things about JJ if he didn't think they were true? As I recall, JJ talked to Pflu before the itshay hit the fan and it is hard to believe Pflu doesn't know more about what happened than we do. Maybe JJ yanked his chain. Maybe Pflu stood up for one of his team even if it didn't look PC and it cost him his job. I don't know, you don't know. I just find it hard to picture Pflu climbing out on a limb he knew would get cut off.

That bastard Pat Williams is quoted as stating "some Griz players did some horrific things" in todays Missoulian rag. Another slug stating guilty as reported in the news! Board of regents new appointee.

I am more than sick of these low life types assuming guilt, before any proof. If any of these players are guilty then kick them off right away. If they have been charged but turn up innocent who are we fans going to nut????

My take on Jordy is he is screwed, even if he is not guilty! Her lawyer want's to drag this out as it will punish Jordy in any event. I hope he stays and turns out clean.

I must have some sore friends as my phone keeps ringing, asking what I know. Nothing! These folks do have some clout, I am not sure how this will all play out but as I have said before get RID of the problem. Let us all be in on the problem. The new coach is not going to solve the unstated problem in my opinion.

Yes, I'd guess I am only half drunk......far more than the .08 however. This crap makes one drink.

Is it not ironic that it is difficult to find many problems before 2007? Gee, is it not a coincidence that Big Game Bob was named head coach about that same time? :?
