Look at the fans: few of them are wearing Griz Gear. Hunting and ski wear are the norm. That's one thing the '95 championship changed. I remember coming home from Huntington, West Virginia, having witnessed the Griz victory over Marshall, and early the following day seeing a sales clerk at Universal Athletics in the mall sitting on top of a pile of Griz wear sorting it out and when I came back a couple hours later, all the Griz gear was gone. Now when you go to a Griz game, everyone is wearing Griz gear.

IMHO, the fact that it was 8 degrees with a wind chill of -10 and no sun had more to do with the clothing selection that day. Personally, I had my first Griz T-shirt around 1988-89. But, the 95 chipper did certainly enhance the brand
