Trammel's reinstatement will depend on whether Ash needs to shore up his position on the roster. If not he is liekly done.

Really you think the football team wrote this letter? Talk about some BS, they make it sound as if it was only a couple of players that made all of this happen. Just look at how UM has handled everything in the past, lift rug and sweep, now the rug heaping pile of crap under it. For too long the AD and the University have looked the other way while all of this stuff has been going on. So to say that the player wrote this, really do you thing we are that stupid. Even if the players did have a say in what was written don't you think half of them would be hypocrite's, say one thing but do just the opposite. A change was needed, if the coach and AD allow this BS to happen then sure they should be fired. But they are only as good as the players they lead, so some blame goes on the players too. They have watch players push cops with little to no punishment, DUI's, etc. the list goes on. All I can say it about time that they started to clean house.
You're an idiot

Again, to many of our players that may lurk eGriz from time to time; Griz Nation will be there this fall to support you, in full force

This letter IMO is like the little boy who just got spanked by his father, for lying to his mother. Crying and sniveling from the spanking and seeing the anger in the father, the little boy promises to be a good boy from now on.

Everyone knew that Amandas Dad wasn't the strict leader that maybe Hauck was. Amandas Dad was more a friend than a father figure (figuratively speaking of course). O'Day seemed to be the Uncle that looked the other way.

I respect the teams show of solidarity.

I'm not understanding of the part where they ask for the powers that be, to be careful in what they say. It sounds like a threatening tone IMO.

so, where do all you pompass assed, holier than thou, kittie fans
stand on the possibilty of Trammel being re-instated?
Good to see you haven't lost your douchey assholeness! That would have been a real shame. :thumb:
He shouldn't be allowed back on, but that's just my holier than thou opinion.
Classless...

No, "optimus," he hasn't lost that, but he was being more civil toward you and your loser fanbase in another thread than I've ever seen him be. Leave it to a bunch of short dick cat fans to make you believe they are better than that in another thread, only to step in later and look like a bunch of true blue delta bravos.

Fact is, if you're not chiming in with support in this particular thread, you need to STFU and tend to your own little mess. We don't need you here, and the team that is being ripped apart, but trying to show some unity, doesn't need you here. I've been doing nothing except lurking here for the past, what, two months, and as usual, some dickhead cat fans compel me to actually log on at 9:00 on a Saturday morning to tell you misfit, no-life-having deltas to GTFO.

You couple of asses come in here and start taking the team letter apart word by word, analyzing every last phrase, and then have the stones somehow to criticize it. Fuck you! They have a right to let their fans know how they feel, and to let people know they overwhelmingly stand in support of their university, tradition, fanbase, and most importantly, each other.

Have any of you meddling losers ever even been part of anything called a team? If you had, you would understand the place they are coming from, and why they come across as a bit emotional, albeit well-spoken.

The couple of you posting in this thread, arguing, over-analyzing, slinging shit, and generally opining on a matter that doesn't concern you would ideally be an integral part of the hemorrhoidectomy that is currently underway at UM. You have inspired me to once again become a troll on BN.

I think I can speak for most Griz fans, and a lot of the Griz football team when I say this:

GO BACK TO THE TRAILER COURT AND MIND YOUR OWN FUCKING BUSINESS!

Sincerely,
All of Griz Nation

ps- to the msu posters that aren't running their nozzles, thanks.

OH GOD, PLEASE DON'T TROLL BN! What will I do!?!?
I'm not sure what prompted this hissy fit, but I digress. I really haven't said shit about this situation compared to what I could and I have actually been pretty nice and some with PMs will attest to such things. BA is a douche, plain and simple. If this was MSU getting hit by a train, he and every little griz fan would be posting shit all over BN, but you look around here, and minus a few "band" posters, Cat fans have been pretty nice. I'm sorry your world has been ripped in two and I have kept my mouth shut about rubbing it in, which I still won't, but that pissed me off.
Some other points:
-I live in a apartment complex
-I have played on multiple sports team
-I feel bad for the kids have done no wrong, minded their own business
-Quit writing the word "dick" so many times in your reponses, it's creepy and slightly juvenile
-The only thing I have done is call out havgrizfan for once again, making things up about "multiple threads"
I'm sorry your angry.

I see how it is, Chris gets to over-ride my post, lol.

He was just jealous cause you had more views and people were posting on yours. Once again the "leader" uses his power for evil.

Hahahahaha.......That's what happens when I let the dude stay at my house for Cat/griz game weekend. He thinks he's a Bobcat.

Letter from The University of Montana Football Team

Dear Parents, Griz Nation, The University of Montana, the citizens of Missoula;

We write this letter as the players of the 2012 University of Montana Football team. We also write this letter as students of a University we love, members of a community we cherish and as stewards of one of the most respected and honored football traditions of excellence in the nation.

The events over the past months regarding allegations and actions of players and most recently the firing of our head coach and the athletic director have all had a deep and profound impact on us. We understand and accept the fact that a few of our teammates' actions, whether intended and deserved or not, have contributed to this unfortunate situation. Whether or not true, regardless of obvious motivations and despite the facts, or lack of them, we have learned that the rules in today's public arena are about perception and expediency. As student athletes of this university we are left without an answer as to why our two leaders, Coach Pflugrad and Jim O'Day, are gone. These events have left us disappointed, saddened, and stunned, but they have also provided us something else.

We have been reminded of the commitment we made years ago, and supported by our families, to pursue excellence in the sport we love that led us from across the country and Montana to come here. Our responsibility to honor those who support us, our duty to respect the players and coaches who built the proud Griz tradition, and our unwavering appreciation of Griz Nation is now stronger and more deeply felt. Most importantly, our commitment to each other is stronger than ever.

Speaking with one voice, we ask for your strength, support and solidarity. We hope this series of personal and collective tragedies will give way to strengthening and rebuilding. We also ask those who have been entrusted with authority and power to carefully consider the impact of their statements and actions on our team and our great tradition.

Our team stands together, closer and stronger than ever before. Just as we will hold ourselves to a higher standard, we will also hold others. We understand that honor, truth and hard work win in the end. We are Montana.
Respectfully,

The University of Montana Football Team

That said, I am also aware of the concept of many private organizations/employers/etc. punishing or firing people within those entities for conduct they didn't approve of. Very few of those situations involve a criminal conviction in a court of law.

The University of Montana is a part of the Montana State goverment not a private organization. They dont get the luxury of selective punishments you would like to see.

Yes, they do. Of course they do. Countless people have been fired or expelled from branches of the university system where no criminal convictions took place. There are absolutely no rules of any kind that say that people can't be removed from university-related jobs or organizations without a criminal conviction. I bet each of us could name dozens of examples just off the top of our head.

MSU kicked off several players this year for "violating team rules." None of those players were convicted of any crimes. If you would like to make a constitutional plea on their behalf, I'm sure they would appreciate it, but I'm not sure it's going to do them any good.

I have read this whole entire hysterical string. I thought the letter from the team is a little self serving. Why is it that a cat fan is the most logical level headed person posting on this board currently? This situation sucks and as griz fans we need to see it for what it is.

You and your cat friends are seeing it for what you WANT it to be not what the athletes/students are writing. What the students are saying simply doesnt fit your version of reality so you choose to see it as you wish. Bobcat nation would welcome you with open arms Im sure.
