Football players don't quit, and the fans shouldn't either

Fans are fans. Seems to be a downer about losing a game we should have won. Fans are sad, mad and full of blame!

We lost. It is a game. We are going to lose again. One needs to remember that we must lose some more before we begin to win a bunch. Games, that is what occurs. Win some lose some.

Fans at the last game? My critical observation were the many fat women at the Griz game. I never noticed so damn many fat women in one spot. Now that is something we should work on. Once those extreme fat women begin to slim down I think our team will come alive again and start to win more games. My observation is as valid as most of yours concerning the Griz.

For those fans that are mad as hell about losing (like me) try to get over it and prepare to watch the next game. As time goes on beleive this Griz program is on the right track. Worry? Yeah worry about the new QB that replaces Simis if he gets hurt and all that kind of stuff. Worry about things that may happen or don't happen...the past is over... smart fans look at the future.

OK...

When people rip on the players and coaches on here for anything they do, it's fair game and anyone that defends them is labeled a sugar coater... :thumb:

...but when someone rips on the fan base here, people get offended and start crying "unfair"?

This place...

It was a bad game all around for Griz Nation. The fans had nothing to do with it. Next week is a new week. It should be better; it could be worse. There is nothing better to do on a fall Saturday in Montana.

I don't think fans have quit on the Griz they are just unhappy about some of the coaching decisions. I am among those unhappy with those decisions, but I still want to give Coach Stitt a chance to show his stuff. I think he makes too many risky decisions against smart, high percentage football.

I will grant that I think those risky decisions contributed greatly to Griz win over NDSU, but that same type of low percentage, risky decision making contributed greatly to Griz losses to Cal Poly and Weber St. I think a good Griz coach would have the Griz at a 4-2 mark right now (beating Cal Poly and Weber, but losing to NDSU). A great Coach would have a 5-1 record. If Stitt can figure out just when to take risks, and when not to take risks, Stitt could be a great coach.

So far however, I don't see signs that Stitt has learned from his mistakes. I see his ego telling him that it is "my way or the highway." If he doesn't improve his decision making, I am afraid that Griz will end up with a mediocre record. There is still time for him to figure this out. I try to be hopeful.
