Big Game Mick. I'm astonished the traction he gets out of beating the Sat States and UNC's of the world. The guy has not won a single game against a tough team.

Dream on here butterball. Mick is going nowhere and he shouldn't... He's a bit stubborn but he's a fine coach.

Lol. If this is the standard of fine coaching then I'm watching a different game than you.

Will it ultimately matter? Will the university go on a national search and get the best coach out there or are they going to shit down their leg?

Hey, just wait 'til he gets all of his recruits in place in a couple more years ...

Griz did not get screwed. They gave up huge plays (4 TDs that were 30 yards or more). Couple that with getting completely away from what was successful offensively on your first few drives and then yes you're screwed. But the blown call didn't dictate the game. Would have made it more interesting. Our vanilla offense in the second quarter and the many mistakes, delays, and clock mgmt lost the game.
Except that some of the big touchdown plays were the result of Wags an company being held like crazy, and to not admit that is just plain stupid.

I'm no turkey and you're the stubborn one if you don't think we need a coaching change for next season
I didn't say next season. I thought you were talking about firing him.
Lol. I just started the thread because one was inevitably coming anyways. He definitely won't be fired but it is time for a regime change for next season

This x1000000!!! The athletic department's incestuous hiring practices when it comes to the football program need to go! I'm not inherently opposed to promoting from within if the talent is there. There's definitely some up and coming young talent on this staff, but none are HC material quite yet. If Delaney retires/gets fired, I'd like to see Haslam open up a national search and recruit some younger talent like he did with Decuire.

Never happen, Mick will be the FCS version of Joe Paterno. Gonna have em for 20 more years at the very least.

I'm not eager to jump on any "fire the coach" bandwagon. But listening to Mick on the radio, it sounded pretty pathetic that the Griz seemed not to know who was in on what plays or what play they were gonna run. That sounds like being unprepared and I would put that squarely on the staff. However, it sounded like JJ overthrew the ball a ton again, which didn't help. On the radio, it just sounded as though they dug themselves a hole and then stuck the shovel in their own foot during the comeback. Sucks. I'm not going to be surprised to see this team drop one more game and lose out on the playoffs. Boy, I hope I'm wrong.

Go Griz!

So, you think SUU or MSU can beat the Griz at this point? Cats looked tough against PSU  SUU is down 42-7 against Suck St in the 4th.

We haven't looked "tough" all season.

Hey we lost but I saw some damn good defense there, at least when we were not in prevents. Gamboa, Wags, Hose' and others made some big plays. We dominated EWUs run game and got some pressure. It was tough to see great first and second down defensive plays followed by -you said it Everett- some big D let downs on 3rd and long. Beat the other Birds. Beat the paper tiger Cats. Then let's see. Despite all Griz shortcomings this game came down to either of two couple lucky catches, a dropped pic and a bad call

This game showed me, just like the NDSU game, that despite the relatively poor season the Griz are not much below the best of the FCS this year. This team could still make some noise in the playoffs. For once we won't be overrated or overconfident if we get in.

Yes, but I prefer my beef jerky chewy as apposed to tough.

All very good points. But you could also say that we have not played to the level we needed to play in the big games. It has been a grueling schedule, no doubt. But we have not answered the call in any of them. Pure and simple. Lots of should haves, would haves, poor play, poor decisions...but the fact remains they have resulted in in the LOSS column. No excuse, just facts.
