Final grades for the 2025 Grizzlies

So, basically, you're just giving your opinion? That's fair, because saying your defense was average when it gave up some of the biggest plays in all of college football is comical. How did you come up with the special teams grade when the head coach made a kicking change late in the season and there was only one big play punt return?
2/12 defense in our conference sounds better than average to me.

To be fair if you can pick out 13 plays from the entirety of the season, two of those being 30 something yard plays; of the hundreds they defended all season that’s not too bad.

Think the Taco catch is giving some people recency bias. I’m guessing I could look at Cat stats for the whole season and come up with a bunch of big plays we gave up at inopportune times as well.

Actually, you will not find another team that has given up five plays of over 75 yards.

Thanks Brint. For what it’s worth I agree with your perspectives. I’ll say this about the 3-3-5. It’s at its best with supreme college level talent at nose tackle and safety. Without that, it’s a bad scheme. It might explain why so few teams commit to it.

Off topic but was in Fargo over the holidays, gawd that place is depressing and I swear 90% of people are grossly obese but anyway, caught up with a few NDS moo U friends who are mid level financial donors who claim they are going MWC and invite is coming in March. I bet em a bottle of bourbon they are full of sht but time will tell.

And when they do go, a waterd down FCS will be down to 3 maybe 4 legitimate top programs left to compete for a title..alot of mid programs dressed as D1 teams..👎

They will go at some point I don’t think it’s 2026 and I agree the FCS is basically glorified D2 as a whole right now. Really only 2 conferences.

Kool story doesn't say much for your "friends" or you that you would go to in your words "depressing place"..over the holidays

Did you get kidnapped and drug to such a place?

I think NDSU sees the writing on the wall. Jimmy Rogers and Iowa State just picked up one of the highest ranked, if not the highest ranked player, in North Dakota in the '27 recruiting class.

You do realize 13-2 is a lot closer to 16-0 than 0-12?
So tired of posters like you saying 13-2 saying we had such a great season. We had approx. 10 good players and that is giving some the benefit of the doubt. Several games were close that never should have been. In the playoffs we beat a teams that had lost players due to injury. We lost the big sky and the semis. You could argue we were ranked #3 in the FCS and that may be true except the FCS sucks now. More like playing D2 for competition.

We had 11 good players on the field at all times.

How many of the "highest ranked" ND high school recruits - those with true FBS skill sets stayed to play for ndsu or even und over the last 10-15 years?

Guarantee its not many - just like MT...

Those dudes just go to FBS schools.

Instead of giving your opinion as guarantees, why don't you back it up with statistics?

Do your own work old man. I'm not your friggin secretary. What a lazy idiot.

I posted what is true and requires zero backing up.

No wonder your posts are so bad and nothing you post is correct.

Thank you for all the incredible content this year Brint.

My own $0.02 …. I would grade QB and RB at A+. I thought Gillman and Ah Yat were the class of the conference and the FCS.

WR I’d say A-, only knock being the dropped/tipped pass that resulted in a pick 6 in the first cat game. Other than that I find no faults in their play.

Tight end id also go A-. This group didn’t post many stats….but they didn’t need to, the team needed them in blocking support, and I thought they were awesome at it.

OL I would give a C-. I thought they were bouyed by the talent surrounding them in general, and I thought they played to the level of their competition, for better or for worse. I thought they played well against the cats (obviously had some lapses)….but also allowed too much pressure from teams like ISU.
