WILDCATFAN said:Great Day To Be An Eagle said:yeah yeah yeah, obviously ADs and donors and what not care about attendance. But as a fan, do you really care? I mean my experience following a team and rooting for a team is not impacted in the least bit by the ebb and flow of attendance.
But I guess as Griz fans all you have to cheer for these days are "highest attendance" banners or "best gameday experience" banners or whatever else you guys cheer about here. So have at it I guess.
The rest of us and our small attendance numbers will continue to march through the playoffs and compete for actual championships.
Just don't forget this was your attendance last weekend:

While winning will always come first for me regardless of how many fans are in the seats, I cannot deny that i wish Weber had a larger following and that there are more than 8500 in the stands when they are ranked #3 in the nation and winning Big Sky titles and making their 3rd straight trip to the playoffs. Weber has made history 2 years in a row and nobody comes out to watch them. I still firmly beleive a lot of that is because Weber is an FCS school smack dab in the center of 3 FBS schools, but it is what it is.
Also, you really don't have any kind of game day atmosphere. There is little or no tailgating or anything like that. Kind of boring going to game there.
