Expectations

You have absolutely no way of knowing that, Stitt may have finished just as well… I know you will say I am wrong and you are right and I don't really care, you haven't played in decades and the game has passed you by

You have no way of knowing what you said. Most people would agree with me. That's why Stitt got fired, and Hauck got hired.

Stint was fired because he wouldn’t fire his DC. Will Bobby face the same reckoning with his OC?

So in the last 3 years they have 10, 10, and 7 wins and yet many want him gone. Not sure that makes a whole lot of sense other than people expected this to be like his last stint without realizing that the Griz had fallen a long way since then and the other BSC schools have gotten better.
Bobby is repeatedly getting out-coached and out-recruited. The product speaks for itself. Right now he thinks he is Griz football, which by itself reveals its limitations. The whole 37 debacle and his arrogance with the media is telling of what is going on and that to me is embarrassing and a problem.

Getting into the playoffs and padding his resume with the shitty AQ’s that we end up playing is just a fools errand. ZERO BSC championships. Five years in and what do we have to show for it? 1-4 against the ‘Scats. Trending downward after five freaking years. An offense thats stuck in the 70’s and a defense that looks like Bob Stitt designed it—lights out against mediocre teams, run roughshod over by teams with a pulse…zero depth, zero development, an insistence on playing upperclassmen over more talented underclassmen, and a high propensity to depend on transfers at critical positions.

That is NOT a recipe for success. I do NOT measure “success” by winning 10 games. Again, if his only claim to success is that he’s better than Bob Stitt, well then we’ve already lost.

Stitt was fired because Bobby came to town and lobbied for the job while it wasn’t even fucking open.

Without a doubt. And I've been told over and over that Bobby lacking any PR skills whatsoever doesn't matter. Bullsh!t. It doesn't matter as long as you're winning. But Bobby is not Nick Saban or Bill Belichick. He is not bigger than this program and frankly I'm sick of people telling me we are lucky to have him. I'm pretty damn sure this isn't what "lucky" is supposed to feel like, and if it is, then our program is truly in a sad state of affairs.

Absolute FACTS!!! And with the help of a few local Hauck-loyalist boosters who got in the ear of the Washingtons. The Washingtons were simply a vehicle to make the change possible, they were not the driving force behind Hauck 2.0 as many would believe.

“Our” program? You aren’t part of the program. Your dad Milt was, but you aren’t.

Stitt was fired because Bobby came to town and lobbied for the job while it wasn’t even f###[#] open.

And Stitt tweeted sarcastically about this yesterday. A little jab.

That is pure gold

The ONLY expectations and alumni should have with this program is nothing less than a National Championship run every single year.

Anything less is a loser, soccer mom, beta male mentality.

Sorry bud, but you don't matter like that. You don't get to decide anything. Your aren't the judge and jury of who gets to be Griz fans. I know that's hard for your narcissistic mind to understand, but that is reality.

This self-absorbed booster is EXACTLY what is wrong with our football program. The Bobcats don't have two-bit boosters dictating who coaches their teams. They actually conduct national searches to fill their positions, instead of having the next-booster-approved man up! this booster showed his stuff when he bragged about being involved with Bob Stitt being hired weeks before Stitt was named the head coach. This should never happen, and our AD is responsible for allowing it to happen.

100% agreed. Time for the booster-approved circus side show to end. Local boosters (not the Washingtons) are the reason we have Hauck 2.0 as well, so their track record is not great. Maybe it's time we start conducting ourselves like the program we claim to be.

That said, mthoopsdouche is not the booster with ultra clout that he claims to be. He may have access, but he is certainly not someone shaping decisions at the University. He desperately wants to be recognized as that someone, but he isn't. I'm sure he'll be flattered you thought of him like that though lol

I don't want to be recognized in UM athletics. Never tried; never would. But I enjoy being one of the (influential) big mouths on the internet. I'm happy to compare the contributions, generally, of my wife's and my family, to yours. One was asked for over $5 million for athletics by Engstrom. Didn't your dad's firm get UM the NCAA sanctions? Why don't you support the program you claimed was "yours"?
