Running on all cylinders, really? UM had lost three of its last four to finish 2002 and graduated both QBs that had played at all. He was left with Jeff Disney as Ochs was not ready to play until midseason.Silenoz said:Let's not forget Bobby in his first season took a program running on all cylinders, fresh off of a runner-up, a championship, and an 11-3 season, and lost at home to a DII, lost to the Cats, lost to a WIU team, gave us our sole loss to Idaho State in recent times, beat a much worse (albeit FBS) Idaho program at home, while boasting one of the best Griz QBs of all time (for part of the season). In a much, much worse Big Sky conference.
So can the hyperbole and selective memory. And describe the real evidence you have that the BSC was "much worse" in 2003 than 2018. Oh, we now have UNC....
Since you did such a fine job of picking at BH's first head coaching year, you missed most of the highlights. Like a 9-3 regular season with a 2 OT loss in the playoffs (It was not a 24 team field then). The four losses were by a total of 14 points, two of them in 2 OTs. +133 point diferential. Blowout wins vs. SHS, PSU and at NAU and SacSt. Not bad for a rookie. Now he has a little experience, like going 32-1 vs. BSC competition from '06-'09. I'll take my chances in 2018 behind this guy.
