Potomac Griz
Well-known member
Not sure if anyone else is very interested in this, but I figured I'd post it anyway. I've been following (a little) how well Corey Easley, Lamarr Farr, Brian Lynch and Roy Booker have been doing since they transferred from the U of M to other colleges. Any more information on how these players are doing, would be greatly appreciated. The school names are links ya can click on too in order to check out their team's page.
Even though these players aren't Griz anymore, they all contributed and helped the Griz teams out during their stay here, so I hope they all continue to do well
Corey Easley -
Minnesota State University (Mankato) 17-4
Has played in all 21 games, starting 6 of them. Averages 17.2 minutes per game, shooting 40.6% from the field, 34.5% from 3 point range, and 76.9% from the free throw line. He's averaging 8.3 points per game, 3.6 rebounds per game, and has 7 blocked shots on the year. He is their 4th leading scorer right now and seems to be playing quite a bit. His highs for the season are 14 points (A couple times), and 10 rebounds (Had 12 points that game too).
Brian Lynch -
Seattle Pacific 16-2
Brian is averaging 15.5 minutes per game, and has played in 12 games so far this season. He's averaging 4.1 points per game, 2 rebounds per game and 1.7 assists per game. He's shooting 90% from the Free Throw line, and has hit 8-33 3 pointers so far this season (his Junior year).
Roy Booker -
Southeastern Missouri State 6-14
Booker has played and started in all 20 games so far for SEMO. He's averaging 35.2 minutes per game. Roy averages 22.5 points per game (12th in the country in scoring), 4.2 rebounds per game, and 1.8 assists per game. He's shooting 37.7% from the field, 33.9% from 3 point range and 81.9% from the free throw line. Looking at the rest of SEMO it looks like he's on the same sort of team as EWUs Stuckey is...not a lot of scoring threat besides Booker. They have one other player averaging over 10 points per game (10.1 points) and that's pretty much it. I was really hoping the Griz would've had SEMO here this year so we could see Booker play again. If ya remember he really came on at the end of his last year with the Griz and was one of the big reasons that team ended the season with a fairly nice winning streak.
Lamarr Farr -
Lambuth 19-3
Farr is currently #7 in his conference in scoring with 14.14 points scored per game. He's shooting 43.9% from the field and 72.8% from the free throw line. He's averaging 5 rebounds and 2.95 assists per game. His season highs both came in the same game, 28 points and 11 rebounds. He also had 5 assists that game and 3 steals. Interestingly enough, Farr plays on the same team as a Point Guard the Griz were recruiting at some point (Curtis Lincoln). Curtis Lincoln averages 12.33 points per game, 3.81 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 1.81 steals per game.
Anyway, thought some of ya might find that interesting. We all knew Booker was a scorer & incredibly athletic while he was here, but it is pretty impressive to see him up there in the top 20 in the country in scoring. I'm still happy with who we got to replace booker though
Having Matthews has really worked out well. Matthews does everything well and is a great leader out there. Both him and Criswell (Two VERY similar players) will be greatly missed next year
