So, are Eagles fans going to storm the field...again...if they win?
Why not? Is there shame in that? Fines yes, but shame??
No, just a question. Past experiance shows me that EWU has no class. If you knock off a favored team, say NDSU, then I can understand. Your team is favored to win. Act like you know what you are doing.

who cares about "class".

EWU in a nutshell. Or nutsack.

"who cares about "class". I care about winning! Go Eags!"

It's obvious....

According to Collegedata.com EWU has 21% of their freshmen entering "school" with ACT scores between 12-17....it's a wonder they can field a team

Both the 2010 and 2012 games were extremely close games that were won in the final seconds. I don't have a problem with people (mostly students) storming the field in those situations. Outside of those two instances, the quarter-final game against NDSU (also won in dramatic fashion) and the semi-final game versus Nova in 2010 are the only other games in recent history that I can think of where it happened.

Not really sure what you are pissed off about or why you perceive it to be classless. I'm sure there's a few games in Montana football history that fans have taken to the field. What's the big deal about it?

The last time that fans stormed the field for Montana was in 2009 with the epic win over App State to send the Griz to the National Championship, and that's really the only one I can think of in recent memory. I think most people here have an issue about rushing the field during a regular-season game. But I guess it's different for some teams when that regular-season game is your superbowl. lol jk

Not pissed off. Just don't understand why they don't save it for something big. I can understand 2010, but then you've done it. Your team is good and has been for the last few years. You won a NC for christ sake. Act like you expect to win. (especially when your supposed to)

I honestly don't know the last time Montana stormed the field. 2009 Semi-final against App St. maybe?

Does anybody remember when our primary rival was...uhh...a bunch of blue and gold clad sodbusters from...oh crap... somewhere east of Butte...? Hmm, just give me a second :-?

Did EWU give Ward Churchill, a sideline pass, I know the university welcomes his philosophies.

Yes indeed the only storm I will be watching is the cold one in Alaska moving on down this way causing that red hot field to freeze over by Wednesday evening!

After we win tomorrow it will be a few Griz fans on the yucky red rug screaming Go Griz!

Fair enough. Anyway, the guy that produces these does some pretty good work.

That's a pretty damn good video. I will agree that UM needs to do a better job of putting out material like this - it's certainly not out of the realm of possibility.
Gonna be a great game tomorrow. Go Griz!!

While I completely understand sports rivalry and trash-talking, I think it's a bit beneath us to attack another school's academic arena. UM and EWU have different target groups and serve different needs. Among Washington State's public institutions, EWU's mission and goal is to serve nontraditional students and students with lower academic prowess. As an administrator at EWU, I absolutely embrace that mission - as do the vast majority of my colleagues. We are proud that we provide access to higher education for students who don't have the academic or economic background to get into nearby schools like WSU or UM. Yes, many of our freshman are disadvantaged and/or have struggled academically - including many, many students from Western Montana, including the Missoula area. We are not only happy to provide those students with access to higher education that other schools won't give them, but we are willing to take on the additional cost in faculty, instructional technology, Summer bridge programs, mentorships, and first year experience programs that are so desperately needed to help these students succeed. You see, it's pretty easy to move a high school grad with a 4.0 through post-secondary education and get them to graduation - it's a much more difficult task to get a young woman or man, who graduated HS with a 2.5 GPA and hasn't taken any math courses beyond Consumer Math to successfully complete College Algebra and, ultimately, to successfully graduate from college.

That aside, looking forward to a great game. Since I'm a fan of both teams (was born in Helena and many of my extended family members live in Helena, Great Falls, Havre, Billings, and even Missoula), I'll be happy for whichever team wins and be disappointed for whichever team loses. Sigh... my only hope is to root for the team that I think could go the farthest in the playoffs.

Go teams!
