The two common opponents, ND and EWU, the Cats played them on the road and played stronger against them than the Griz. I think both the Cats and the Griz are mediocre teams so far at best. I don't see much difference. If you traded the schedules the records would probably be exactly opposite. The Griz in reality are nowhere close to a top ten team right now. Yes, they are improving but they really struggled against the four FCS teams they played with losing records. You were all saying on here how Stitt and Semore should be fired. If you guys run the table, then you are a top ten team. Hats off to the Griz if they do that. Good luck!

Saying Montana struggled against the four teams they played with losing records is untrue. Smoked und. At one point that game was 34-3, at another 41-10 before subs started playing in bulk. Idaho State game was similar. At one point in the game UM was up 2 scores or more after having been down at the half. So first half vs ISU, is the only half during the game you could say the team struggled. Defense was never up to par for what fans want or expect but that’s neither here nor there. Once the Griz took the lead the game was never really in question. The EWU game is one every griz fan and player would like back, as the team took a 3 score lead into the half and ended up shitting the bed the second half and losing by seven. Vs PSU, again, once Montana took the lead the game never felt like it was in question. Montana moved the ball at will when it needed first downs and the outcome was never in question come the fourth quarter. None of that is what I’d call “struggling” or unimpressive. The offense has been lights out, and is still the top, or second to EWU offense in conference in both scoring and yards. The defense must improve, but the team is in no way struggling. Weber should be a dog fight, and hopefully UM wins in a landslide and puts an end to the doubt! I’m more optimistic about this team than I have been in 3 years. Their potential, or ceiling if you will, is higher than it’s been in three years. The youth on the team shows at times, but their maturation from week to week is what has me thinking that the future is very bright for this team. Hopefully the week of rest does the team some good and they get better over the bye week and kick some ass in Weber!

Griz lost to Eastern 48-41, Beat PSU 39-31 & beat UND 41-17
MSU lost to Eastern 31-19, Beat PSU 30-22, & beat UND 49-21
Thirdly, how do you define "struggle"? We've scored less than 40 exactly ONCE against FCS teams this year (and in that game we scored 39). Our defense has given up 48, 33, 31, 17 in the past four games....THAT sure looks like an improving defense to me. We've played 5 teams with losing records...we're 5-0. If THAT is your definition of "struggle", you might want to check a dictionary.
You get UNC and ISU the next two weeks....like I said earlier, you'll probably win those games and bobcatnation will be ready to bronze a statue of Choade and put it in the middle of the shit pond. But then you'll be slapped back to reality by Kennesaw State, NAU & UM, finish the year 4-7, and spend the next 6 months trying to figure ou just what the fuck happened.

4. The Cat defense has played tougher and better than the Griz offense so far this year and Gregorak shut you guys down last year with our defensive line decimated by injuries. The Griz got the worst of that deal.

Secondly, while I think MSU has improved a ton this season, and I respect how the Cats have played in some of their games this year, two things to remember, A LOSS IS ALWAYS A LOSS IN NCAA COLLEGE FOOTBALL. ALWAYS. PERIOD, THE END. No matter how close the games are, IT'S A LOSS, and MSU already has four of them this season. Secondly, the Cats are going to have a very hard time with both Northern Colorado and Idaho State. I'm not saying they'll lose either game, but those games are not gimmes. A lot of Cat fans are pointing to the NAU road game as the make or break game in this season. I'd pump the brakes on that a bit. If MSU's secondary doesn't play extremely well the next two weeks, the NAUA game will be very, very meaningless.

Big Sky 33 SDSU sucks....just saying. The Cats won't be playing last years Montana Grizzlies they will be playing this years version. And finally, a lot of teams in the Big Sky are young this year Not just the bobcat.bigsky33 said:

UM had to work against PSU and ISU, was never behind PSU, was down to ISU in first half, but then caught them and started pulling away. UND wasn't even a contest. I think UND had 143 yards and 5 first downs by late in the third quarter when UM subbed on its D. Seven 3 and outs, 1 interception, and 1 fumble by UND in his first 10 positions.
Your statement ranks right up there with your guarantee that Vernon Adams would never play for Oregon and would come back to EWU.
