Just so you know Big Sky...MSU was one of the worst teams we’ve played this year...Davis and UM are better than the Cats....Sac state is your equal...yes the game was close (for a few minutes) yesterday, but eastern had the better O and better D...

The bottom line is that the Griz would have the same record as the Cats if they played the Cats schedule and vice-versa.

My god. Who the hell honestly cares who looked more impressive in a loss? A loss is a loss and a win is a win. The biggest difference is the effect on morale for the team. Where mounting losses can lead to problems in team morale especially for young teams, strings of wins can lead to better play and effort. If I’m a cats fan I’m more worried about team morale as the season comes to a close. As to where the griz are at, most rational fans know that we haven’t beaten anyone yet that is a playoff caliber team, and that the first chance to “prove it” since EWU is against Weber. Most rational griz fans also know that the cats are a much better football team than their record suggests and can’t be overlooked. Most rational cat fans know that the Griz are improving from week to week on defense and that the offense is one of the best in conference even though it’s being led by a redshirt freshman. Rivalry banter should have its own designated goddam thread because this back and forth bullshit is annoying as hell and useless in terms of fostering a good, cordial discussion. I’d rather read the funny threads about the purple mermaids than the crap spewed in useless argument between a cat fan and griz fan who can’t seem to function without the validation of their respective team from the others rival.

Gubrud was in cruise control passing at 80% and was 18-18 at one point. They beat you at your own game and ran the ball down your throats. They were up 24-7 and not even trying it seemed anymore when they tried to pissit away completely by giving the Cats back to back fumbles. That was not a close game. They dominated your team on all levels all game long.

Had nothing to do with what MSU was doing and everything to do with what EWU did. I think this user is a symptom of the FCS online world being divided into their own corners, with each one forming echo chambers. eGriz, BisonVille, that Bengal one we saw last week, the Eastern one, etc, etc, all shut down opposing opinions and each becomes a circlejerk, or the fanbase is split in half and all they do is spew vitriol and hate at each other. There is no way to temper fan expectations at this level.
