EWU takes out an ad to wish the Griz luck

I used to be a real jerk, well somewhat of a jerk. I went to the Tennessee/Griz game and ever since I have been born again and I now treat all visiting fans with respect. However, when the visiting fans act like jerks, it is very hard not to digress and become a jerk again. So far so good...We are Griz Nation, we have almost the best of everything!

Agreed. Good honest post. It gets hard for me sometimes as well. It isn't always easy to turn the other cheek. While I can't control how others behave, I can most of the time control how I respond by taking the high road. Griz Nation does well at this overall I believe and for that I am proud.

Very classy. Take lessons AG

I would rather eat glass, masturbate with a cheese grater or read one of Grizzoolas posts than take lessons from those condescending bastards over in the flat billed hat capital of the world.

That is a slap in the face but as usual 98% of this place is too stupid to notice. How bout y'all just start another weather thread and tell the world how loud this place is? You know show everyone how high the football IQ is roun herea...............
Masterbating with a cheese grater?? You do have a way with words AG. I don't agree with much you say, but I am glad you stayed around. I don't get to roll my eyes nearly enough.

I'll be watching and cheering in Cheney tomorrow for a big Grizzly win in Missoula. Your team is the envy of the FCS and has earned its place back on top. Good luck and stay warm Griz fans! I'll tip a couple at the tailgate for you. See you in Frisco!

Wow. Nice gesture. I'm going to have rethink some of my past comments on Egriz. I'll give kudus to their team and admin. Not going to see any such gesture from anyone else in the BSC.

Actually in Bozeman they run ads wishing for the Grizzlies to lose playoff games.Sadly predictable lot. The bobcat's P*nis Envy is a sad sight to behold.

Nice touch by Eastern Washington's administration. Good luck to the Eagles this week! :ugeek:

Really, where did you see that?

Good luck tomorrow fellas!

Griz fans are not laughing.

Spectator's Bar & Grill, a popular sports bar near Montana State University's Bobcat Field in Bozeman, ran an advertisement the past two days in the Bozeman Daily Chronicle that featured a Griz paw in a circle - with a line through it - and read "Go Villanova."

Seems tavern owner Joe Domanski thought it'd be funny to publicly root against the Grizzlies as they face off against Villanova at 6 p.m. MST Friday in the NCAA FCS national championship game in Chattanooga, Tenn.

After all, that's what devoted Bobcat fans do, right?

Well, not anymore. Hindsight has become crystal clear.

"It was classless and in poor taste," Domanski said Friday morning, feeling very regretful.

The owner was manning the telephone at Spectators after several of his employees were berated by Griz fans calling, outraged by the advertisement. In the past two days, dozens of people have called the bar to complain about the ad, which is circulating via e-mail all over the state.

The calls of protest have come from all over, not just Missoula. Fans from Butte, Anaconda and Billings are equally perturbed. Domanski described a quarter of the calls as "ugly." The rest have been pretty cordial.

The advertisement was meant as an extension of the friendly cross-state rivalry between MSU and the University of Montana, he said. After all, the 119th annual Brawl of the Wild was less than a month ago. Maybe the Grizzlies' 33-19 win over MSU is still a sore subject. Whatever the reason, Domanski learned the hard way that he's not as funny as he thought.

"It came off the wrong way," he said. "I'm not the sharpest pencil in the box."

Several hours from now, the championship game will be aired on ESPN2, and the TVs at Spectator's Sports Bar will be tuned in, he said. Domanski is regretful about the advertisement and plans to root for the Griz.

"I hope the Griz do well tonight," he said.

Perspective my friends, PERSPECTIVE. It is a GAME played by young men, none of who are posting here (I hope) so anyone here getting ugly about it has lost it. There is a cure however. Step away from the keyboard and do good things in the real world for people who really need it, like children and the elderly, until you regain control of your moral compass and (again) are able to recognize what really matters. You'll also better appreciate the hard work the team and coaches put in to making their team the best it can be. You may even recognize that other teams do it also.

I hope for a good, hard fought, clean game -- and a Griz victory of course. GO GRIZ!!!!

Just win baby! I want to see Griz vs Eags in the Championship game. Damn I wish I could come to the ice bowl game this weekend. :thumb:

It's my team not yours and the chance of me "joining you" and the 98% of Griz fans that are fu*king clueless. No thanks, I would rather be shot in the face in a Spokcompton meth deal gone wrong.

Very Christian response Alpha. I feel bad for you that your life is such that you derive pleasure from being the way that you are towards others. I will pray for you this Sunday. May God have mercy on your soul and fix whatever leads you to be so bitter. God bless.

Whatever floats your boat...........I am the farthest person from bitter you would ever meet.

Pray all you want but JC is going to the game with me on Saturday and then catching a 14 hour ride back with me. We will talk about why people like you feel the need to place others in negative perception and then turn water into Jagger shots while we drink.

Have a great weekend and God Bless

Your self-absorbed "LOOK AT ME! LOOK AT ME!" posts were tedious enough. Now we discover - no surprise - that your self-imposed exile was just more vulgar blowhard blather. Welcome news would be finding that alpha had morphed into omega griz...the end.

Grow up and get a life... :coffee:

I have nothing against their program, and coaches. However, they do have their fair share of asshole fans, those few make it hard to root for EWU.
LOL, hypocrisy at it's finest. UM has the biggest population of asshole fans in all of FCS football. The NCAA should make a trophy for the biggest asshole fan base, and keep it at Wajizz stadium, permanently.

Disagree. NDSU has more. A lot more.

it is my belief that the good ol boys holding the banner at Joe Albi stadium supporting the eagles that day were genuine and probably weren't thinking thoughts like the eagles fan base were flat billed wearin assclowns on meth, but hey, these guys were just being good ol boys illustrating a shred of decency and Montana pride....gotta love it...
i missed it.....where does it say that reciprocation comes as a trojan horse?
and don't say the eagle handbook, either

If you are talking about the '97 semi-finals versus Youngstown at Joe Albi...I was there, and I agree.

I really can't help that you make these threads about me..........so I give even less of a full*k than I normally do.

We're not that bad...here's hoping this happens in the near future.

If we want to talk about asshatted fanbases, Eastern, Montana, and even NDSU don't scratch the surface.

Oregon is consistently voted the rudest fans in the Pac-12. It is really ugly to go a game there. Eastern has to play there in two years; I'm not looking forward to it. Even the SEC has rabid but respectful fans. Oregon fans are just absurd...

seems to me this is very neighborly; they may have a douche or two, but who doesn't??? thanks ewu; your friend, yogi

Not bad, I remember the Griz did this for the Cats (or maybe vice-versa) in the playoffs a few years back. Now I don't feel half as bad for rooting for EWU to come back in the NC in 2010, even though some of their fans on here had me regretting it.

Notice they did not waste their money on wishing NAU good luck. Pure disrespect bro :P
